An amazing building. The doom is simply stunning. It is a great place for views of Berlin. I cannot recommend this highly enough. It is a government building and you can book a free visit. We did not do this in time so booked a package with afternoon tea that enabled you to go into the doom. This ended up being an amazing experience. We timed the tea to be over sunset. The views were lovely and the afternoon tea was excellent. We then had a great time exploring the dome. You must take your passport to get in - 100% checks.

The only oldest building in Berlin, which stands still till now without any damage from WWII. This was used to store food grains during the war, and thus govt. tried to protect it; whereas Allied forces wanted to preserve it to use it as a marker/map location from the planes to drop the bombs in the city. It has been converted to most boring govt. office i.e. Tax or finance department building.

The Chancellery is only a part of the Bundestag complex spread around the Republic square in central Berlin.
The main and most famous and important edifice of this complex is Reichstag, the German parliament which you can tour (read that review). Reichstag is also the only classic style architecture bldg in the complex, while all others, including the Chancellery are very modern in design - you'd rather think it's a modern art museum or theater than the seat of German Chanellor, currently Mrs. Merkel.
Unlike the Reichstag, you cannot tour the Chancellery - just take few pics in front or from the back if cruising the Spree.

Great place to visit, very easy to get to on the bus.
Being a massive JFK fan, this was an important place for me to go.
Very little about him, apart from a plaque outside.
I tried to stand on the balcony where he stood but the staff were having none of it.

Note this rating is just based on the light show at night. Although there are lasers they dont really do much. It is mostly just a historical video. There are two of the same shows back to back

The architecture of this building is very modern. It has lots of character and looks very majestic.

You can walk towards the river at the back and take some nice pictures of the building.

The Berlin Parliament is located in this building near Potsdamer Platz. In 1993 the parliament moved from Rathaus Schöneberg to this building.

This building complex of the former Prussian state parliament is one of the most outstanding Parliament buildings in Germany. It was built in 1892-1899.

The House of Representatives is closed to visitors until further notice due to the corona pandemic.

Impressive building, standing on a landmark location, nice photo opportunity due to the facade of the old city castle having been incorporated in the front of the building. Nice encounter walking onwards from the pretty Schleußenbrücke, in the direction of the Nicholas quarter.

Pretty neighborhood flanked by Tiergarten park, stretching from one end of the park almost to the Zoo, crammed with nice looking villas, almost all newly built after the second World War, with the exception of the von der Heydt villa, which was spared. I found the Saudi Arabian embassy especially pleasing to the eye. Great stretch to walk along.

The station is very organized, with multiple shops. Outside you get many buses towards various directions. There is a shopping mall nearby which is good. You can go to this place one day and spend half an hour.
