I had pre booked my visit and arrived early and was allowed in, which was good since I guess it can become very very busy. I really enjoyed the audio tour which takes roughly an hour round the glass cupola. Views of Berlin was awesome. I would book early when hopefully there would be less people both queueing to get up and less people up on the roof too.

Visiting this site will give an insight into what the death strip was all about, from the viewing platform you get a clear view over a preserved bit of "death strip" with its watch tower and both the inner and outer wall preserved. Lot's of great history to take in, when walking round the museum.

It's nice.. very nice, but I always thought on why did anyone need to ship an entire temple from a far away place and put in indoors for viewing?

We just went in the Pergamom Museum, which contains mostly Islamic Art. Very beautiful. If you only visit one museum, this is probably the one to go for.

I've never been inside. I was staying on the side street at hostel. Due to the lack of private space there, or any space really, I would walk to the corner after dark to sit on the benches in the side square of the building. At the time I didn't know what it was. What I did know was when the lights came on and the sun went down those windows were absolutely stunning. Magical, and thats before the joint. Trust me when I say if you are anywhere nearby in the evening, take a walk by, sit on the bench and just appreciate this remarkably stunning masterpiece.

If like most of the tourists you need / want a photograph of the sculpture on top of the gate I would suggest a visit early morning or late afternoon, Otherwise the sun will be full in your face. It is easy to get to and is a short walk from the Reichstag. It is also the diplomatic quarter where all the main embassies are based. UK, USA, France, etc

The building is bright modern and has easy access for all. Prepare for information overload, some of the pictures and descriptions are horrific. Outside there is a section of the wall in place a with its history etc also there. There is a small cafe inside so I would suggest a short break for a coffee during the visit.

This was included as part of a guided tour. Many large, stone rectangular sculptures of varying height - area for quiet contemplation.

Is a gallery of graffiti along the wall off Berlin. Some graffiti are very nice. Be careful some pickpockets are in the area.

The Berliner Dom is a must-visit when visiting Berlin. We were here on a romantic vacation. Only dissapointment was that the crypt for closed for repairs.

Most pleasant and impressive of the 5 (at least until the Pergamon is re-opened fully). The Egyptian display is, of course, very extensive, but it is the early man display on the top floor that most impressed me. Probably the best display on the Paleolithic that I have seen.

Lovely shaded walks through woodland, as well as some grassy picnic spots. A lovely place to stroll on a hot day.

The Charlottenburg Palace is, in my opinion, one of the top main attractions in Berlin. However, the visitation is not highly frequented so it is very nice and not stressful to visit this place. You can visit it independently from the weather or the age. Everybody can see something new and have fun. There is also a restaurant and a location where you can have a big party like a wedding or a prom. This place is very popular for such events.
It is easy to reach by public transport, with the train and there is a bus station in front of the palace, there is also a large parking lot.
It was build in the 17th century and the facade was completely repainted about two or three years ago. Inside the palace is a museum with changing exhibitions.
Every year, there is a large Christmas market in front of the palace and the palace is beautifully illuminated. Behind the palace is a big garden which is absolutely lovely. There are a small pond and a lot of trails where you can walk around. You also can ride a bicycle through the garden or have a small picnic with some friends or do sports in a group. Often there are groups of people doing yoga. There are several sheep in the meadow so the lawn does not have to be mowed. This is very environmentally friendly and also a small attraction

I don't want very much at zoo but this one is really beautiful, big and famous. There are a lot of different animals inside and there treated well. If you don't like zoo maybe you can skip this, but if you like them this one Deserves to be seen
