In general a nice street, similar to the most city centers in big European countries. Plenary of shops, stores, restaurant and bars around. Main sightseeings like Asam Kirche , Frauen Kirche situated in this street. While walking down Marienplatz will get linked with Neues Rathaus street that is not much different than Marienplatz itself. The one of the possibly most beautiful Catholic Church St.Peter’s Church ⛪️ must be visited in this street

I did a lot of research trying to figure out the best way to get there and I have an answer if you wondering the same. Go to the DB info desk in center of train station and buy tickets to Dachau. Take the DB train and not the metro. It’s zero stops and takes less than 10 min to get there and it’s the same price as metro. Once you arrive you will walk under the corridor and follow signs that say KZ Gedenkstatte. You will see the buses with same name and the ticket you buy for the train also works on bus but TBH no one checked our tickets on train or bus. Also I wondered if I should book a tour or take chance to get a tour from the camp officials. They only take 30 people so we got there right as they opened and were the first to sign up for a tour. That cost $12 for our family of 3 instead of $120 which is what I considered booking from an outside company. It didn’t start getting busy until around 10:30-11 so if you are there when they open at 9 you shouldn’t have a problem. If you walk around on your own get the headsets rentals and be sure to walk way in the back across the river to the crematorium. You won’t see it from main area. We also took bus to old town after we left camp. It’s cute but be warned in winter not a lot of restaurants are open.

The whole castle looks like out of a fairytale, from the landscape to the dinning room inside of it. It took 11 years to finish the castle properly and it I can see why; the murals on every corner of the castle tells you different stories and feeling even though they follow the same art-style. Religious and political ideas were involved in the planning of the castle. This can be seen in particular in the throne hall. The paintings here show how Ludwig saw kingship "by the Grace of God": as a holy mission, with powers that the Bavarian king had never possessed. This castle belonged to King Ludwig II, who was pretty eccentric and reclusive, but this explains why the castle is full of amazing art and architecture, also located in a beautiful place.

Price- 8 € entrance to museum (some parts of it was out of order for reconstruction during our visit) + audio guide for 3.5 € in multiple languages is available

The entrance hall is exciting, not possible to capture the beauty in the pictures.

Time to spend- 2 hours only in the main museum building

We did a quick self-tour throughout the Residenz Palace, including Treasury and the Theater. Very beautiful with lots of history.
Unlike Bavarian Alps Castles, this one is easy to get in, you don't need to buy tickets in advance. Just stop by while in the City Center.

Rothenburg is one of my favourite cities in Germany.

It is known for having well-preserved medieval old town.

It is of very few cities that still have a completely intact city wall.

There is a great medieval store worth walking around, a fantastic sausage shop, nany cafes and bars and you will have so much fun walkling around this amazing city.

We visited for a Bayern Munich v Augsburg and were treated to 8 goals! The Stadium is superb from the outside and great inside with plenty of eating and drinking options. We had great seats in the tier above the Ultras so the atmosphere was really good. The result made the day. I have visited many football stadiums around Europe and this is one of the best.

Imagine if you took a huge cathedral and squished all of its beautiful artwork and architecture into a compact space. The organist was playing that day and got a chance to sit and try to take in the sensory overload. Pictures help but being there gives a different feeling. I think they use smokeless candles which was a first. Probably to preserve the interior from the smoke

This market is located just a turn away from Marienplatz and has a good mixture of stores selling anything from local produce to handicrafts and also food stores.

During my visit in December 2022, since it was still Christmas week there were still many stores selling Christmas ornaments or Christmas related items, since it was also pretty cold during the season the stores offering hot mulled wine is a must. You would usually be required to give an additional 1-2 euro on top of the glass of mulled wine you are paying for, as a deposit for the glass itself which you should return back to the store and they would refund the deposit back to you.

As many of the stores are grab and go, you may buy your food and drinks first then go about the market to grab the many seating available or have them on the go (just be sure to return the glass or lose your deposit).

If you are also looking for some souvenirs to bring back this is the place to come to and you should be able to find some something to bring home.

Do give this place a visit if you are already in the Mareinplatz area!

Lake Konigsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. We did an early morning boat ride all the way down the lake, and then hiked to the other end of Lake Olbersee. What an amazing day!!

A must visit for historian buffs. This palace had it all: spendor, opulance, fresques, paintings, rugs, chandeleers. Those who have previously visited Versaille will enjoy the comparisons.

We walked round the Olympic park, which was a really nice walk. However, as it was December, there were no cafés or anything open, and the Tower was shut too, which was disappointing
