This path runs beside the street by the same name. The street will have a lot of cafés, shops and hotels. But this path is in and of itself very nice oasis in the middle of town.

The funiculars are brand new and in fab condition. Unfortunately the day we visited was exceptionally cloudy and we couldn’t see any of the incredible views from the top, but it was worth the ride all the same.

This is a very historical casino with an impressive history. It is quite fancy, and they have a very strict dress code.

We were lucky to have a bright sunny day and it just heavenly. Getting there from Baden Baden is easy by bus and the funicular a lovely experience. We planned to stay for an hour but ended up staying for five watching the hand gliders take off, walking in the forest and enjoying a lovely lunch at the restaurant. A must do for your Baden Baden trip...

We were back in Baden-Baden for the show, The Pictures of the Brothers. Very good German expressionist paintings that were in the house when the Burda Brothers were growing up. All the paintings were as good as you will find for this time frame. The number of paintings ideal, not too many so you had time to enjoy and study each one. One of the positives of the Corona time is museums now limit the number of viewers so you are not one of many in the crowd. We will return again.

Very nice area with lovely walks. Relaxing atmosphere with stunning views. Some touristic shops with products from the Black Forest area.

I don’t think this would be worth going to if the Rhododendrons had not been in bloom.
The waterfall itself is very small and once you’ve seen it, well then you’ve seen it. However the surrounding area, the little paths that go through the forest and along the stream are very pretty.

Some points of interest. I took a taxi but I’ve seen that buses also can go there. There were two trails that lead down to see the waterfall. Maybe there were others, but I did not see any others. The first one has a sign that says to the waterfall. The second one doesn’t have a sign. Take the first one! The second one you would be risking your life.

Now that I think about it, there must’ve been an entrance elsewhere because there was nowhere to park at either one of these two entrances.

After I saw the waterfall, I began to head back, but realized I was lost. There was nobody else out there except for two women and nobody could get a signal. They said it was a 10 minute walk to the parking lot. Well I’m a slow walker but even if I had doubled it I wasn’t even close to 10 minutes. I was about 3 miles away from any sign of life.

I finally was able to get a signal, called for a taxi, and got back to the land of the living.

Probably no one else would experience this the way that I did. If there’s a way to get lost, I certainly will find it. Just be mindful that you probably need to be aware of your surroundings and know exactly how to get back.

    And watch out for salamanders!

Please do not confuse Rosengarten auf dem Beutig with the old garden Goenneranlage which located along the Lichtentaler Allee. Many people here write comments about the wrong park as well as placed wrong photos.

So, the new garden Rosengarten auf dem Beutig is located a little far from the tourist trails, on the hill of the city and if you walk from the center it will take at least 20 minutes uphill, it is very hard and exhaustingly, especially for those who are not trained. My advice - take an Uber, a taxi or a bus if you don't have a car, and save your time and energy. The entrance fee to the park is 1 euro, take cash with you, you need to use a machine to pay. The park is excellent with breathtaking panorama view over valley. Wonderful place for taking photo, enjoying the roses in their countless varieties and colors. Worth a visit if you have extra time in Baden-Baden, if you are a park lovers, and of course, if weather is allowed. There are no shelters from the rain and no restaurants or cafes.

The castle itself is nothing special, it was a normal ruined castle that sits too of the hill. The restaurant was close when we were there.

But the view of the Black Forest and Baden Baden from the top was spectacular!

But what we enjoy the most is the walk up yo yhe castle. It took us about and hour with a 22 months old toodler. We alternate between pushing him on his YoYo Zen 2 amd carrying him. The view throughout was stunning and quaint! We made the right decision to walk rather than paid eur40 for the taxi!

Must do the walk when you are in Baden Baden! It was not that hard.

Attended the Venetian Baroque Orchestra and were so blown away by the quality of everything! We got drinks in the bar before that were fantastic, the ticket counter was very accommodating, and the performance incredible! I would recommend bringing cash as the pre and intermission bar have great offerings but are cash only. We purchased relatively decent seats, and once the performance they were vastly improved as the conductor asked everyone to move forward because “that’s where the music happens.” The experience was topped off by being given a gorgeous red rose on departure.

We ordered a typical German ''Wurstsalad'' and boy was this dish good. Served with warm buttered toast bread, it could not get better. Sipping on a local pilsner and watching the world passing in front of you. What a treat. Staff are courteous, so is the service. A real mini gourmet trip. Highly recommended.

The serenity of this Abbey is felt in the lodgings - with hearty healthy breakfast - which it offers. Just a - beautiful - stroll yonder from the centre of Baden-Baden; along the Lichtenthal Allee, a meandering path along fields with beautiful flowers, and majestic trees, alongside the river.
The café serves excellent tea and cakes and more. Recommended!

Pump Room or the better known name of this building as Trinkhalle located on the same plaza where Casino is. The mineral water pavilion was built in 1842. The 90-meter gallery is decorated with 14 frescoes depicting the myths and legends of the Black Forest. Inside the building you can drink warm spring mineral water, go inside and look for the tap at the central column. Despite the label a sip of this water is indeed safe (but quite hot, about 110 degrees). This water's high mineral concentration makes it unwise to drink much more than a cup or two at a time.

Also it's now home to the main TI where you can buy a guidebook about the city and the surrounding area. The TI shares space with a cafe and an agency that sells tickets to performances in town. In front of the building, there is a bust of Emperor Wilhelm I, who spent 40 years annually with his wife in Baden-Baden. Nice building and flower plaza in front of it, worth to look even if you are not planning to drink a water or visit TI.

The austere sign outside lures you in & the name - Fabergé. But, it's not cheap to enter & in hindsight, I would say not worth the price.
The museum is over 2 floors & gives the history of Fabergé & how he came to be famous. The majority of exhibits have a QR code that you need to scan with a mobile phone to receive an explanation.
There are some nice pieces but not the elusive Fabergé eggs that are famous

If you need a good reason to visit another church - the dramatic sarcophacus of Count Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden is a very, VERY good reason. I wish I could afford such a tombstone...
