- Christine PVancouver, Canada310 contributionsNice and interesting views of the ochre hills and rock formations. Was surprised to see a entrance fee to do a walk. Lots of dogs on the trails. 2 path choices, some steep sections with stairs. Bring your own water. Pair it with a trip to visit the town of Roussillon, and you are set for a beautiful day exploring.Written November 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tanya BSaint-Germain-en-Laye, France271 contributionsAmazing activity for the families with a children and not only for them. It was outstanding experience which you can access easily, even with the children starting from 3 years old. If would like to make a round trip - it will be nearly 8 kilometers. Just les Gorges - less than 3.Written May 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NatLondresLondon143 contributionsLovely safe, cool place for toddlers, with buggy accessibly routes.
Provence has SO much for slightly older children, but we found it quite tricky with a young toddler (very few play parks for small people, most attractions for bigger kids, few appropriate green spaces in the cities) so this was a lovely experience for us all.Written September 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Roussillon is beautiful around every corner, kind of the way Venice is, except if Venice were on a hilltop and in shades of ochre. The town itself is beautiful and charming, than add the layer of ochre shades on top of that, and plop a natural deposit of vividly beautiful ochre in the middle of it with rock formations that rival Bryce Canyon, and you have the most striking town in the Luberon for my money. Eating an ice cream cone while staring out at the ochre cliffs, the bright green patches of farmland beyond, and the Roussillon skyline is one of my favorite memories of my trip. This town is a must see when you're in the area!Written July 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jbg74Saint Paul, MN1,057 contributionsThe walk through the area where they mined ochre was beautiful. The exposed cliffs were colorful and made for great photos. There was a great view of the village of Roussillon too. The village is great for a visit also.Written April 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brian CMontclair, NJ251 contributionsWe were on a cruise and took the Food and Wine Trails tour, which included the wines and gardens of Chateau Val Joanis. We had a great time at the winery, which is situated on a site of an ancient Roman Villa. First, it was a tour of the winery, then a tour of the Gardens (which were just stunning). This was followed by a tasting of whites, reds and a rose’ which they are famous for. The tasting was followed by lunch and more wine. We highly recommend a visit here.Written June 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- nemanja1205Serbia910 contributionsBe sure to drive around the Luberon. Regarding the views is very rewarding and quite beautiful. For lavender come in July but I can recommend a lavender field en route to Sault on the top of a hill that was full in bloom in second week of August. Great vineyards in the lower parts. Not too difficult for driving. Rent a car!Written September 4, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GMcC73Cork, Ireland47 contributionsWe cycled from Apt to Lumieres one morning with our two kids (8 & 11), and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a classic greenway route, fairly flat and safe for kids. The Pont Julien was very impressive en route. One short section brings you on to the road and we had to take a 500m detour to Lumieres for coffee.Written July 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - raijavQuincy, MA61 contributionsWe had a wonderful tour of the vines near the property, learned about what makes the terroir so unique in this region, and tried some fabulous wines. We enjoyed several of their bottles along our two week vacation! Their vouvray was wonderful. - NoeB1Antwerp, Belgium1,227 contributionsOppede le Vieux is a very nice little town. We stayed there for 5 nights, at night when the tourists are gone the atmosphere is magic. You can start this nice walk in the village. You just have to follow the signs.Written August 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cid BMobile, Alabama, United States5 contributionsEnjoyed our visit to the museum and enjoyed tasting the wine!
We were in Menerbes celebrating our 80th and 70th birthdays.
We walked from the Village which was farther than we expected.
After we toured the museum, bought some wine and souvenirs one of the
employees ( a very kind Lady) drove us back to the Village!Written October 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GeeNewcastle upon Tyne, UK114 contributionsI have loved this garden for well over 20 years. This was our third visit. If you like topiary and evergreens you will love this garden.
Plenty of opportunity to wonder around on your own and many places to sit and fold into the romance and magic that is La Louve.
I could go on and on.......For me this is my most favourite garden in the world ❤️Written November 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
