What travelers are saying
- FoodangeManchester, UK4,933 contributionsA fascinating stroll from one end of this iconic street to the other.
On one side are the posh shops with intimidating guys guarding the doors and high end cars parked at the kerb, including a gold Rolls Royce with a Ukraine number plate, driven by a mid-30s bling guy – shouldn’t he be somewhere else ….
On the other side views of the shimmering Med.
The old guys playing Pétanque were a lovely distraction.Written January 31, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had a hard time seeing under water without goggles or gear.Written October 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex SLondon, UK48 contributionsWorth the walk up to the old part of Cannes for the views across the bay- it only took about 10 mins from the old port. The streets are beautiful and the Cannes sign sits at the top. Worth taking a bit of time wandering back down through the streets.Written June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eleonore Susi28 contributionsThey were renovating half of the building but the market was still very big and busy. - Meghan C1 contributionLoved this day trip!!
Highly recommended if in the area.
Wonderful historical Fort / Museum followed by hike/walk around the island enjoying nature, the coast and a dip in the ocean.
A wonderful day for anyone from solo travels to families with children.

One side of this road you have the beach and the other side you have more local restaurants and cafes so a perfect location for a stroll.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,497 contributionsReally nice narrow street with lots of little shops and cafes. Although we came in the morning, it would be nice and atmospheric of an evening. There are lots of food shops which do samples to tryWritten April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,497 contributionsFantastic painted mural near Cannes harbour that celebrates 100 years of movies. It's good fun trying to guess the various stars. Take a photo and there are new bits you'll spot afterwards e.g. Tarzan, Jane, Cheetah on the roofWritten April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FoodangeManchester, UK4,933 contributionsA steep walk up the hill to this very peaceful church.
It’s an imposing building with a beautiful interior and outside good views over the town.Written January 31, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We did not go inside, however, it is free to take pictures outside and to visit the gift shop. - FoodangeManchester, UK4,933 contributionsIn this museum there were certainly a few interesting artefacts but not really from all over the world.
There was an awful lot of detail about Vanuatu.
Many cabinets featured interesting masks and statues with no dates, so we couldn’t really appreciate them fully. 100 years old or from last week?
We went up the watchtower for magnificent views over the port and town, which made the whole visit worthwhile.Written January 31, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - SandraJWhitchurch, UK84 contributionsA peaceful island owned by Cistercian Monks. There are very clear paths to walk along which take you around and through the vineyards grown by the monks for olive oil and wine. The Monastery was undergoing refurbishment when we visited and you can't go in the Abbey until after 3.30pm. There is a good-sized restaurant and a place to buy snacks and soft drinks but the toilets are very French (primitive - hole in the ground!) The boat journey was smooth and takes 30 minutes each way.Written May 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
