Atmospheric, gives a real sense of the past and the Roman influence in Arles, good views and also included in ticket is a visit to the Roman theatre in Arles.
What a wonderful experience this was, you could feel the history throughout the Amphitheatre as you walked round, make your way to the top seats for a outstanding view and photo's.

Because it is fairly inaccessible and you have to walk to it this site has been saved from getting too overrun.
The views and the river are very worthwhile, as is the drive there if one does not mind small mountain roads that can be very steep.

You pay a Euro ...(or was it 2E?).... to turn on the light to the chapel, and for five wonderful minutes you get to view all the relics placed throughout the area.
