Also plenty of places inside to sit and sample the food. Lots of locals doing their shopping rather than crammed with tourists. We visited in a Sunday when it was busy (and the outdoor general market was on you). Park along the quay side (plenty of free parking along Victor Hugo)Written September 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - helen m2 contributionsA beautiful ancient Cathedral! We claim tower and had a nice observation of whole town with 360 degree view. The only thing they did not have any info on English.Written July 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MILOUWNew York City, NY1,393 contributionsThis palace displays an interesting collection of artworks ranging from classical era paintings and furnishings to more recent works focused on North Africa seen by artists of the late XIXth and early XXth centuries.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Willie129Kingston, Canada287 contributionsInteresting labyrinth of tunnels under the city. Worthwhile stop, especially in poor weather. We spent about an hour in the tunnels and would recommend!Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,772 contributionsWe visited here with the Monumental ticket that includes other sites. Struggled at first to find it as the steps start in the corner of a shop. There are over 100 steps to the top and it was hard work but well worth the views when you get to the top.Written April 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CJ_McHLoughborough, UK20 contributionsFantastic find - my partner and I feel very lucky to have experienced the delights of the skilfully mastered wines and beautifully crafted menu at Sarrat de Goundy. We shall be definitely visiting again in the near future and thank you to Olivier for your expertise when purchasing a bottle or two to take home, we can't wait to open them!Written July 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - b2runOntario, Canada283 contributionsThe canal passes through the center of the city with many parks along its sides. It has some locks but very little boat traffic. The water is brown but it's still nice to walk along.Written October 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,772 contributionsNot a tourist attraction but this should be your first port of call. Very helpful staff who were able to provide free maps and advice. - Yorkshirerose2031 contributionsNice clean water park with several slides, various pools, bouncy castles, trampolines, etc. 15 euros entry per person. Kept the children entertained. Plenty of shady sun loungers and picnic areas. It doesn’t compare to Florida water parks of course but so long as you don’t go expecting that, just nice relaxed child-friendly family fun, it’s fine. Right next to the lovely sandy beach too, and they let you come and go so long as you have a wristband. One slide was shut for building work but there was still plenty to do. We didn’t try the food but you could get some basic options.Written July 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Louise O1 contributionwe spent the weekend at this beautifully restored property.
For families and larger groups there are villas available to rent, but we were lucky enough to stay in the chateau which has 8 rooms all with spectacular views.
The chateau and the newly built villas sit seamlessly together .The staff were so friendly and helpful. We ate in the Asado restaurant on both evenings as there was plenty of choice on the menu and the food and service was excellent. We enjoyed a relaxing treatment in the spa. There are plenty of other facilities on site you can avail of aswell. Perfect balance of Old world meets modern luxury. Fabulous experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.Written December 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It could be used today….by a really good off road vehicle, but not by me. The stones had to be placed with intention. Makes our roads, which crumble in 20 years, look sad.Written October 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
