What travelers are saying
- Joszoric8 contributionsVery nice experience for children and teenagers, they can learn and appreciate the water life of our planet. Ticket price is reasonable and attendants friendly. Great chances to take pictures.Written May 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sheldon K. GoodmanBeckenham, UK15 contributionsThis gallery packs a punch! A wonderfully diverse amount of artwork on display, from Bazille to Joshua Reynolds. The gallery is nicely curated and air conditioned, so you can absorb the artwork in a comfortable setting.
The contemporary exhibit featuring the works of Soulages is a nice contrast to the renaissance and earlier art. You can easily spend a day here - a highlight for me were the male nudes by Fabre and the seascape by Roqueplan.Written September 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you only want a drink ask first as they seem to have separate tables for eating and drinking.
Really busy place which is great for people watching.Written September 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JULIAN DAmsterdam, The Netherlands1 contributionGreat place to visit from montpellier to see flamingos and other nature. A Very peaceful environment. Go in morning as its cooler. Only issue is it's a bit of a walk from lattes tram stop but its on quiet path and we'll worth a visit.Written August 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SaraParis, France357 contributionsGothic style roman catholic cathedral which is a must if you are in Montpelier. - Millie024Llantwit Major, UK482 contributionsIt’s FREE and belongs to the University! However, parts of it are only open intermittently and our visit did not coincide with those times, so we missed the medicinal study collections. There are some large (locked) glass houses, seemingly sheltering cacti. We saw a couple of frogs in a pond, and there is a bamboo grove. A shady place, but rather overgrown. Some few remains of an earlier garden. By October, most of the flowering plants were over, but we did see a couple of colourful pomegranates on a tree. Sadly the upper entrance was shut, so we had to walk back to the lower one to leave.Written October 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Becky CMount Vernon, OH52 contributionsMy daughter and I loved the self-guided garden tour (we did not do the house or wine tour). The garden in front of the house is a traditional, formal French garden, but when you go the the side gardens, you see many other plants, trees, etc. There’s even a vegetable garden oasis in the back, with chickens. We had been in the city for a couple days, so this green sanctuary was a peaceful way to spend our time.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RazorfishLittle Rock, AR5,287 contributionsMy wife and I visited Montpellier during and excursion on a Viking Ocean Cruise last November. It was a lovely city but the on and off rain spoiled some of our enjoyment. We saw the Arch de Triumph at a distance but the weather prevented us from walking to the site. We liked much of the architecture downtown. Hopefully, we can visit again during good weather because I like the vibe of the city.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
