The most spectacular musee in Paris. The quality of Impressionist paintings was breathtaking!! We will come back again and again!!

Even though one can't tour the cathedral, it was still breath-taking to walk around it. Plus, we visited the excavation which I had never seen before. Well worth it.

The windows are magnificent. If you are a Biblical student, one can read the Bible from the stained glass windows.

Granted it's hard to appreciate the beauty of this place with hundreds of people milling about, especially those who spent an unbelievable amount of time posing for 'selfies' or photos rather than looking at the magnificance of the building, but it really was worth seeing. Would love to see it again with less people.

I was there as a 16 going on 17 year old, with 3 friends. Doing the interrail. No cell phones, only post cards. 30 days.
Great to visit this iconic place, and go to the top of it!!!

Huge wrap around paintings of Monet water lilies. I’d suggest going early when they first open. Not many people and you can better appreciate the scale and beauty of the work.

Always love coming to the Louvre. I came here as a little boy, teenager, student, young man, married man and now father of 3. I never get enough and I am happy my little kids feel the same. We took them for a walk through -and there is plenty walking to do- and then we finish by a visit at the Studio where they can enjoy games, puzzles, colouring, etc...... We can't wait to go back next time we are in Paris.

Be prepared for lots of stairs and lots of hills. The hard work is rewarded by great views of Paris. The climb to the top of the Sacre Coeur is worth it. The neighborhood has lots of great cafes and shops. There is a little train that you can ride around on which is a nice way to see the area.

I took a river boat down the Seine from Normandy to Paris for a good week. It was a great learning experience and extremely multicultural.
We stopped daily for historical tours, Monets Gardens being fab.

In good weather there is no better place to sit and relax and people-watch, even if it is only elderly joggers or attractive young ladies saving food from Restaurant waste and market-traders throwing good food away. The sun blest lawns means that you do not have to enter the splendid Galleries. So many trees and flowers to admire. The perfect place to pass a couple of hours.

We stopped here while on a Citron tour and enjoyed watching the sun set from the steps. Unfortunately, we didn't return to visit it in more depth, but just seeing the surrounding area and visiting the grounds was so worth it.

Every time I come to Paris I just NEED to visit this glorious gem! Even without the main museum, the gardens alone are a sheer delight, an oasis of calm and a time to forget time! Just sit anywhere in the garden and listen to the birdsong, the bells and crunch of gravelled paths underfoot as you gaze upon the sculpted forms of a pure master!
    Sublime!

    Everything Paris is here.

Restaurants, shops, cafes, specialty boutiques, museums.

Wandering the Marais is always wonderful and discovering so much.

Located in the Latin Quarter this is much like the Pantheon in Rome resting place for many really prominent and less prominent French people from history. Wander the corridor and Crypt below to see them. The main floor is vast and contains massive works of art. We did not get the listening device but in hind sight wish we had.
