My wife and I met our guide, Zultana, at 650 AM. There were only 12 of us on the tour (full size bus) and we left the Hotel Pullman a few minutes before 7 AM. We stopped at a rest stop around 830 and arrived at our first stop in Normandy around 1015. During the 3 hour drive, Zultana provided info on Paris sites as we drove by them, an overview of the day's schedule and background on Normandy and D Day. He made sure that we stayed ahead of the many other tour buses. Because of his military background (Originally from Budapest, he served in the Hungarian Army). he was able to provide great perspective on the invasion and battles. He was also a very attentive guide ( eg, recommendations on good places to eat, clean + uncrowded rest room locations, souvenir shops). We wrapped up our last stop around 5 and headed back to the hotel with 1 rest stop, arriving just past 8 PM. It was a long day but it was a great tour.
