What travelers are saying
- AugustoLa Plata, Argentina503 contributionsA gorgeous garden. We were there early in the morning and had the place pretty much to ourselves, as you can see in the pictures, so we could appreciate its beauty without any crowds, which was great.Written March 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul WBerkeley, UK259 contributionsWhat a beautiful park this is, an old gypsum quarry transformed into a stunning park. It is a National park and so free of charge to enter. There are some magnificent specimen trees as you meander along the paths. During our three days in Paris following Disney we visited this park twice.Written June 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AugustoLa Plata, Argentina503 contributionsA beautiful place to relax and unwind when visiting Place de la Bastille. This lush elevated walk will probably take you some 10 to 15 minutes to get from one end to the other. It's also a perfect place if you have your lunch on the go.Written February 21, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AugustoLa Plata, Argentina503 contributionsAlthough this park is in a very busy area, it remains a beautiful, quiet place where you can relax and recharge your batteries from all the walking around and sightseeing.Written March 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Josue CNew Haven, CT509 contributionsParc du Champ de Mars is nice place to get pictures of the Eiffel Tower. It is a long park the takes you from the Le Grand Palais Ephemere museum to the Eiffel Tower. On my visit the park looked pretty nice, pathways were cleared, the grass field were fenced off, seems like they were trying to regrow the grass. I took a stroll at night, and the park has probably the best view of the Eiffel Tower, you can catch the light show, on the top of the hour, take photos and selfies, just an amazing view. Overall, I think that Pars du Champ de Mars is good place to visit, you can walk towards the Eiffel Tower or take pictures.Written December 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Petros ChasiotisGlyfada, Greece161 contributionsFantastic parc. Absolutely calm with nice patios and venues and fresh air. The ideal place for meditation in one of the most beautiful arrondissements of Paris. Nearby you will find nice cafes. Very clean. Loved itWritten January 7, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sergiy MDublin, Ireland1,991 contributionsThe famous wood is not far from city centre. It is a good place to relax from crowdy tourist attraction. The park is big with ponds, waterfalls, trails etc. Great place to be close to the nature.Written November 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kentgwashburnSanta Cruz, CA73 contributionsWe chose Porte Maillot Metro. Bad idea. That whole area is completely torn up for the new tramway extension in advance of ‘24 Olympics. Porte Dauphine much better with just a bit of detouring. We are inveterate walkers and were tired by end of day.
Parc’s famous formal rose garden was being carefully groomed for the rose expo this weekend, June 3-4. A nice selection of roses blooming there but nowhere near the height I had expected. The chateau itself closed off in the midst of a major remodel, the rest of the grounds as beautiful as ever. Peonies & irises especially.
And can you beat the price of entry? Almost free, but not quite! Modest numbers of guests present. Tourist hordes absent, perhaps because public transit doesn’t take you to the doorstep.Written June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We crossed the road from the Lac Daumesnil area and started following the paths near the artificial creek and then came back via other walking trails. These paths were surrounded by trees but are quite wide and well laid out. It is pleasant to be able to walk in the greenery instead of just buildings and roads.
I can only review the forest walks we did which were pleasant but not spectacular. However, I gather that Lac Daumesnil (previously reviewed) may also considered part of this forest and that had a lot more attractions which I enjoyed. We also didn't get to the further sections which apparently consist of various gardens and other lakes. We are eager to come back and explore them.Written September 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. During the summer, you have open-air cinema (for free), and you also have the cité the science that you can visit, and a playing ground for children.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However, I would not come here exclusively for this. My accomodation was close to Bercy so this is why I went there. This review is aimed towards people staying near Bercy.Written January 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MidwestKathMDetroit, MI1,147 contributionsQuaint park below Pont Neuf, extending to the western point of Ile de la Cite. The park proper is enclosed with a circular walking path and plenty of benches for couples and families to sit and relax and enjoy. You can walk the perimeter of the park down to the actual point which is covered with several beautiful weeping willow trees. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Seine looking west!! Sit and watch the river traffic go by. Just watch out for the occasional rat...Written October 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pernilla E3 contributionsMade a visit here with friends and loved openness of this venue. All of the orangeries were open for us to just stroll through and explore. The plants are lovely and the old contstruction of the green houses really beautiful. However, they should really rethink the amount of birds in that small cage. That does that rhyme well with this age to treat living creatures like that. Was also missing a café of some sort to dit down and enjoy the atmosphere, but maybe we just missed that? All in all well worth the visit and would go back again.Written July 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
