We could have honestly spent hours and hours here. Choose the part of history of interest and tour through that part of the museum. Napoleon's horse is stuffed!

Small museum. Excellent collection of military medals, pieces of Napoleon belongings, maltese knights and military related collection, costumes and paintings. Free entrance, opens at 13.00. I strongly recommend to visit. Friendly and attentive personnel.

This museum is a beautiful reminder of why we have the privilege to enjoy life today. It shows us the men and women who held the line and help bring freedom back to France. This museum is free!! And not as well mentioned on social media as others but so important. We were able to enjoy the Women of War photography display which was phenomenal.

When you go to see Napoleon's Tomb, take the time to see the military museum and the Musee des Plans-Reliefs just behind. Signage isn't great, but it is in the back to the right of the courtyard.

This ended up being the best Museum of our trip. Being a military fan it was MUCH more than expected. First of it is HUGE! The artifacts are top notch. I mean they have napoleon's horse on display. Absolutely magnificent weapons displays all the way back to the 1400's. Believe me when I say you can't miss this. We spent double the time here compared to The Louvre.

In the introduction to this museum De Gaulle is constantly mentioned, Chirchill is neverentioned.SOE is mentioned just once.It is a clear distortion of history and I wasn't bothered to go through the museum in additionally there was a first floor but again no lift.Yhey really need to get up to date.
    In any event,don't bother.
