    PROS
    * Brilliant and famous ornate decorated structure
    * Elaborate fancy sculptures
    * Elaborate fancy lamp posts
    * Connects the Grand and Petit palais to the Invalides

    CONS
    * Busy traffic

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
    ... as a return visit from October 2019. I visited because it is famous and has a history. I crossed from the Grand and Petit palais areas on my way to visit (again) the museum of Les Invalides (see my next review).

    I liked crossing, being on and observing, studying, analyzing and photographing 📷 the statues (see my "helpful" 👍 photos 📷, especially of foreign tourists with the bridge as the background.

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST
    Yes- it is free

    WOULD 'I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
    Probably, but not as a specific destination but as something that I'm passing anyway, between something and something else

    ADVICE
    * This is certainly worth seeing- walking on it, sailing underneath and looking from the sides of the river
    * It gives a good unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower, especially at night on the hour when it is twinkling- best to stand towards the end of the bridge, on the side that is closest to the Petit Palais ( full disclosure- I didn't stand there on this trip)

    This place which has Pont Neuf as it's neighbour and with the Louvre, a stone's throw away is a great place from which to take in Paris. The views of the Seine are great and there are benches along the bridge. Though the bridge is no longer laden with love locks, you will find the odd one or two around the lampposts.

    ... when I walked across it

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?

    WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?

    Yes, the views of the Eiffel Tower from here are pretty amazing, and the crowds really light.

    The bridge itself has a distinctive turn-of-the-century style, thanks in part to the fact that it is built in two levels - the lower one for pedestrians and cyclists, and the upper one for the metro.

    And for all those Christopher Nolan fans out there, this is the Inception Bridge.

    Although there are several bridges in Paris that span the Seine River, this is one of the most popular and the view from here is amazing. You can see the cruises plying under and to and fro in the Seine River, the Eiffel Tower and even the Notre Dame Catheral de Paris, among other key attractions.

    The view from here is scenic and despite of the sunny and warm weather, with the breezes, it's quite windy.

    And there's another reason why this place is popular, it is the crash site of Princess Diana at it's underground tunnel and as commemoration, a sculpture nearby had been erected in remembrance of her (Flamme de la Liberte), which you can checkout my review of it.

    Pont d'Iena was built in 1808-1814 during the heyday of the Empire and named after Napoleon's victory over Prussia in the Battle of Jena. This, by the way, was the reason for Field Marshal Blucher's ardent desire to demolish it during the second occupation of Paris, and only the position of the Russian Emperor Alexander I prevented Prussian vandalism. It should be understood that at that time it was an ordinary bridge improving transport links between the left and right banks. And now it's unusual! Because now there is the Eiffel Tower. And no one is interested in either the bridge itself or the riders on the sides. Arabic, Gallic, Roman. Because there is ONE! The most popular attraction in the world! And now this is the place of parting with her when you ride the Trocadero metro. A place where tourists ignore the rules of the road and make "one more last photo" right from the traffic lane. And surprisingly, no one is being crushed....

    PROS
    * Nice and short scenic centrally located bridge (behind the Cathedral of Notre Dame and passing the Memorial to the Deportation
    * It is used to cross from Left Bank to the Ile de la Cite
    * Fantastic location for photos of the church (from behind it)

    CONS
    * Not a prominent bridge

    “I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
    … when exploring the adjacent tourist attractions. I found it to be particularly poignant and striking that this bridge dedicated to Cardinal Lustiger is next to the Memorial to the Deportation.

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It is a bridge- it is free

    WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN?
    Yes- and to show others

    ADVICE
    Nice bridge/ go and see it and cross it and see the tourist stuff in the area

    A nice bridge, over the River Seine, with some great views, either side, and well worth a look, if your in the area.

    This bridge provides easy access between the garden and Museum D'Orsay as well as provides awesome pictures of Paris near the Seine river. Also, as you cross the bridge you have the opportunity to add locks with descriptions as you chain them to the fence. It really is neat to participate in. Definitely worth going over.

    An attractive bridge that leads to Ile de la Cite, so lots of people walk across it. Great views of the river and the island.

    Great way to walk across the Seine on this pedestrian-only bridge from the Parc Bercy. Great views of the water and the banks of the river. Lovely.

    PROS
    * Passing over the thin island with a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty located at its western end
    * The eastern side of the bridge (traffic going north from the Left Bank) has a walkway to descend to the island and to then walk under the bridge to stand at the base of the Statue of Liberty)
    * It provides a good clear and scenic view towards the Eiffel Tower
    * Heavily trafficked urban bridge
    * Adjacent to the Juravel RER-C and the M10 train and metro stations

    CONS
    * Crowded busy and urban

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
    ... when i decided to get off at Juravel on may way from the Palace of Versailles to the Pantheon. The CityMapper app told me that this was the way to go. I jumped off the RER-C at the last moment.

    And that was a good and interesting choice- I got some fine views of traffic and bicycles coming towards me with the majestic Eiffel Tower in the distance, framing the street, and the same scene photographed above the open RER-C train tracks (see my many "helpful" 👍 photos 📷). However, I was too aggressive in stepping into the street for that perfect photo to post to tripadvisor and there was a double lip of the durb and I fell hard onto my back on the sidewalk!! But I was blessed to be wearing a full backpack of well-cushioned phone batteries, and that totally cushioned the fall and prevented any physical damage, and there was no damage to the equipment either)

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It is free to cross a public city bridge

    WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN?
    Sure, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to do it

    ADVICE
    If you are near this place, it is worthwhile to cross the bridge and then to go onto the northside and descend the walkway to go to the base of the miniature model of the Statue of Liberty

    Pont Marie is a lovely bridge over the Seine and it dates to the early 1600s. It is not big but not unusual either. You get some quite good views from it but then again there are many other bridges around and they all offer beautiful views.
