It may still be under construction due to the 2019 fire, but even just from the outside you can still get a sense of the glory and majesty of this most famous of Gothic cathedrals. Its imposing frame still watches over the city of Paris and though scarred for the moment, it remains undefeated, a lofty symbol of the resilience and determination of the city it has watched over for nearly a thousand years.

Went at night. Got the tickets to the top.
before going, make sure you are ok with stair-climbing. A good amount to climb to the top where you will be rewarded with a great view of Paris.

The queue to go up was fast. The view at the top was magnificent. The gift shop has loads of souvenirs to commemorate your climb and visit!

    Worth a visit!

On the first Sunday of Jan-Feb-Mar and Nov-Dec you can visit Sainte-Chapelle for free. We were there on the first Sunday of January 2024. We made sure we were there early too. If the lines would have been crazy, we would have skipped it. But they were not.

Note that you will have to climb stairs. On the ground floor you can buy souvenirs. We got ripped off by one vendor, but that was also my own fault because I did not check the total amount. May - of course - have been unintentional.

The chapel was still undergoing mayor work (outside). But the inside was beautiful. A bit crowded, even at 09:00 on a cold and gray Sunday morning.

Of course it's excellent. But of course you know it's under construction until possibly 2025 or Late 2024. However, there is a TON of information about what happened and what IS happening right now for reconstruction on the walls surrounding the construction. I HIGHLY recommend going down into the under story which cost about 9 Euro in order to 1. learn about the Cathedral and Paris and 2. to support their endeavors in reconstruction. FYI: No bathrooms in the vicinity. Go to a pay toilet or cafe before arrival.

Worth a visit but for a family to attend it can be expensive. Also the ticketing website is confusing as you can only book tickets for available slots, however that is not clear on the website. So you may pick 10am and only be allowed 1 ticket as that is all that is left for that slot. If you don’t know this you think you are limited to one ticket. Only by chance did I click another time slot and could buy 4 tickets.
(The website does says up to 5 per customer, but when presented with 1 tickets it can easily be confused for having to make 5 different purchases)
    Anyway…. Just an observation.

We were in and out in 30 minutes (no audio guide - was expensive for 4). but was good to see such an historic part of Paris.

La Madeleine ( Church Of Sainte Marie Madeleine ) is a great looking Roman Catholic Church located on Place De La Madeleine that's always a joy to visit on any holiday I take to this most vibrant and beautiful of city's.
Constructed between 1807-1828 ,the work of architect Pierre Alexandre Vignon ,it's in my opinion the best example of Neo Classical style architecture in the city of light,it's designated Monument Historique meaning it's one of the great buildings of the city .
I love the look of the building ,the impressive columns ,the wonderful reliefs ,the general look of the building,it's just an amazing church building to view ,it's easy to locate on Place De La Madeleine and well worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is a sumptuous building that was burned down during the Commune era and then rebuilt in a similar style. Very elaborate. It is fun to walk around and walk through. Check out the possibility of a show at the free museum here, the shows are terrific. And it's the city hall, a working building.

Made the journey to Paris for a weekend away but primarily to watch Tigers away at the Stade Jean Bouin v Stade Francais.
Whilst Tigers with a very young side triumphed ultimately 27 - 24 I have to say the whole experience of visiting a new stadium for us [family that is] was magnificent.
Ease of access to the ground was superb, just a 5 -1 0 min walk from the Metro, clean environment around the stadium & the provision of adequate Food & Beverage within was superb.
The main highlight & something that stands out between English & French Rugby Clubs is the Bands that are always in attendance & provide wonderful entertainment before & after the matches. A real treat.
The only disappointment was that the stadium to me seemed to be less than 1/4 full, possibly less than 4/5,000 people in attendance - shocking really for this quality of Team & Stadium.
Thanks SF Paris for a wonderful evening.

I discovered this place from instagram. I was curious about the black and white columns and I discovered all the rest of the garden. Very relaxing place in the center of the city

Be prepared to be upset and moved. This somewhat underground memorial will touch you as you comtemplate the terrible fate of the many who were deported from France during WWII. The design concept is to imagine yourself in a prison with no windows and where you can only look up to the sky. Names on the walls.

A grand and expansive building up on the Chaillot hill that was created for an international expo. Now it houses a couple of interesting museums and one restaurant with perfect views of the Eiffel Tower. This is a place where you want to take photos.

We had purchased the combo ticket covering both Saint Chapelle and Conciergerie. The tablet app that is handed as a guide is really cool. One gets to visualize how the place would have looked like back in the olden days.
Interesting anecdotes from history. Overall a nice place to visit and not too crowded either.

Incredibly interesting and well displayed museum of documents highlighting French history. And did I mention free? Currently there's an exhibit on the day to day life of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette at Tuileries palace, where they went when forced out of Versailles. It is amazing because of the detail. Who knew that the Gard of Louis XVI had color-coded security badges indicating level of access to the King? Just like the US Secret Service. The permanent exhibits are great too, and the building alone is worth it. AND IN ENGLISH

This is the perfect street in Paris. Everything you could ever want and the charm that has quickly disappeared from other streets in Paris. A foodie dream whether it is bakeries, chocolate shops, the best pizza or something else this is my favorite street in Paris.
