- ninet00Fort Worth, TX41 contributionsSuch a fun experience. Hat maker did not speak English but had an Ipad that would translate everything he said. There was so many options of colors, fabrics, ribbons, and embellishments was hard to narrow it down. It is a long processes so make sure you plan accordingly. Does get really hot due to the equipment so my suggestion bring a mini fan or dress in layers if it's cold outside. Would do it again if I returned. The company was accommodating to our needs since we were delayed due to weather. Meeting place was easy to get to. If you’re on the fence about getting the photo shoot. Just do it. It’s worth every penny to get good pictures. Mona honed our creative thought processes (even my non arty daughter) to achieve outcomes that we were very happy with. Lunch was delightful and the cheese to die for! - Marie-EliseWashington DC, DC2 contributionsIf you love crafting, sewing, beading, and designing, this workshop is for you. If you want to leave Paris with something that is both uniquely Parisian and uniquely you, this is a great workshop to try. This experience works best if you come with an idea of how you want to design your jacket-- take a look at custom jean jackets before you go. There are so many options of fabric, decals, trims, buttons, and sequins that if you are indecisive, you won't have enough time to complete your project. The workshop leader was friendly, helpful, and had a good sense of design. The workshop leaders will give you as much or as little help as you need. All of the attendees bonded with each other and gave each other encouragement and design tips. You will have a chance to do some sewing, but the bulk of the sewing is done by MiniMe sewers which is great because you will have more time to choose fabrics and to design. Be sure to allot several hours for this-- this is not a one hour experience. My group stayed most of the afternoon. My jacket turns heads and garners a lot of compliments. - Cruiser6659612 contributionsThis was an AHMAZING experience! Our group had 5 women BUT there were about 10 women total experiencing this workshop. We really enjoyed picking the material, cutting out the material and even using the Cricut machine to being constructing our bags.
While I did use the glue to glue portions of my bag, a gentleman assisted with sewing so I didn’t have to sew anything. I chose a “hard flap” bag SO extra steps were involved (since materials had to be glued), and I had to go back to the store to pick up my bag.
Please be advised that this service is ala carte so to speak. I was able to use a portion of the class payment for my bag BUT every detail on the bag costs. For instance, I chose a Chanel button (for the closure) and it was an extra 120.00. Some fabrics were also more expensive, and if you choose embellishments (like brooches etc) those range in price from maybe 10 euros to 25 euros. I ended up paying 190 euros.

He went to great pains to pick locations where there would be really flattering shapes and architecture around me without anything pulling focus away from me in the photos.
