I visit this place only when I feel in shape. The workout is challenging and the instructors are so motivational that you will find your self casually pushing through your limits. The regret will only come the next day when you can't walk.

The workout is made up of running intervals followed by flow work. The intervals are relatively long and punishing. The floor work is less arduous as French women seem to hate working out their upper body. Still expect plenty of difficult ab exercises.

The crowd is made up of serious runners in a country where people can run at a serious level. It's a great place to benchmark your fitness against the locals.

If you can only workout once on your trip, make this your stop. Also, unlike Barry's, their swag is reasonably priced and looks great when you are back home.

Unfortunately, the management is dishonest and does not keep their word. They care only about getting new members. The club is not very clean. They do not sanitize the equipment and there is no help in the "salle de sport" in case some needs instruction or has a mishap which can be dangerous. There are several other clubs in Paris that are much more worth the value and much nicer.

I've been getting massage from Mark for 6 months now. It is always a huge pleasure and I look forward to it every time. He has an amazing and magical space which immediately separates you from the outside world into a rich, relaxing and inspiring place. He has great touch and intuition for what you would like and what you need. I have experienced true moments of ecstasy with Mark and a massage with him is never less than a fully sensual voyage of discovery. He is friendly and welcoming and you always feel like you get all his attention. A great experience.

This place had only been open a week when we tried it, a city-centre follow-up to the suburban original. At the back of the restaurant is a clearly popular indoor climbing centre, so don't be surprised if you find people wandering through or around the restaurant in various states of sweatiness, just-out-of-the-showerness and/or undress.

The menu is [currently] only available in French, but our waiter was both willing and able to switch to very good English. The other staff members we interacted with had levels of English ranging from serviceable to could-lead-to-misunderstandings, but overall service was friendly, attentive and eager to please - which is as it should be, given how new the place is.

Being new did show at times, however, with a couple of mix-ups at our table and others', although nothing terribly serious and again always offset by a willingness to get things right. Bear in mind though that you pay at the bar - which may well be standard here. We asked for the bill and thought the waiter was going to bring it to us, but waited ages and got nothing, and when I asked again he explained that I should go up to the bar. (He claimed he'd told us that when I first asked; he hadn't, but let's put that down to a simple miscommunication.) There was then confusion with the bill as well, almost certainly again due to them having only just opened, but it too was sorted out with a smile.

On the plus side, our meal was great. We both ordered the beef burger, the locally sourced meat for which was beautifully seasoned and well cooked. The sweet, marinated red onion was a nice addition, too, and the sesame-seed bun held everything together well. The burger was served with the best French fries I've had in years - neither too salty nor too oily, and with a good flavour - and a simple rocket salad. I enjoyed a glass of dry white with my meal, the bottle for which the waiter presented to me, opened and gave me to taste rather than just pouring straight up. In total, the two burgers, the wine and a water came to €36.

Overall: good food, enthusiastic service and an interesting setting. Once they really get into the swing of things I'm sure the place will rightfully do very well for itself.

Since I joined this professionnal and friendly gym, my practice has shot up to 4 sessions a week ! This is a unique club in the pleasant Beaugrenelle area, with a really welcoming (nice and unusual in Paris to be greeted by your name) and energetic feel. The coaches are the real asset of this place and are all professionnal, communicative and enthusastic. All for a very decent suscription fee.

As somebody who was new to taking fitness classes, I was very nervous before my first class at Kiwill but was blown away by the experience. The staff were so lovely, welcoming and friendly from the moment I stepped in the door! The changing rooms were great and fully stocked with cotton pads/deodorant/hairdryers and luxury shampoo/conditioner in the showers - they had really thought of everything! The class itself was like taking a shot of coffee - I felt so energized when I stepped off the bike. I also really liked how the instructors allowed you to choose your own pace and intensity and tailored each class to the languages spoken by the participants - I bought a block of classes as soon as I arrived home and can't wait to go back!
