- Heidi P17 contributionsI loved this class. Me and my friend took this class with no expectations and we were so happy with the result. We were 4 participants plus an instructor. The instructor was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The whole class was very well organized and calm. We got to bring home a lot of pastries and also got an easy to follow recipe that I look forward to trying. Learning the history of these items and the details that go into each baked good made it even better. Chef Luc was a great instructor and helped us understand the provenance of food and wine in France, as well as how to select the freshest produce. Once in the kitchen, he was a great guide, taking care to accommodate all the various experience levels of his students. His sense of humor and storytelling ability made the class a joy. Not only do you make the cookies but then they serve them to you at a set table with tea and coffee. The experience was gratifing, educational, social, and delicious. We have a wonderful group at this class and dinner with our collaborative effort was delightful! The only negative was knowing where to go. Giving the address was enough. He was incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job tailoring the information to our level of understanding of wine, even incorporating our various interests in politics and biology as they relate to wine.
The wines were excellent, the cheese pairings were perfect, and all really high quality.
We had a really fun time, full of laughter as well as learning loads.
