My daughter and I decided to visit the market on a Sunday morning while on vacation. We had the absolute best time wandering the stalls and looking at the delicious food and various items to shop for. We bought some homemade soaps, some homemade jams, bread, etc. I bought a very unique handmade purse as well. I believe the market is only a couple of days a week, but if you are in Paris, and want to visit a great Market, I recommend this.

Loved it. So charming. Definitely worth a stroll. My husband had strawberries from one of the fruit stands and said it was delicious. We ate at Le Petit Cler and that was good too.

This "farmers" market offers great value for money! Vegetables, fruit, flowers etc

Friendly, mostly Arabic sellers. They don't argue if you take pictures for example 😉

The covered market closeby offers meat, fish, olives, cheese etc. Also a hidden gem.

The "fleamarket" is nothing special, ...

Marché d'Aligre for food is really exceptional!!

This is a nice area to browse and shop -
Unfortunately at the end of August there were many shops closed.

There is a quaint little bookshop at the top of the road where i always manage to get a great book for my mum. I also got a fantastic pistachio cake from Boulangerie Yvan.

Its a proper flea market - definitely worth a visit. I would say 3-400 stalls with a variety of goods as always, it was the last weekend in August so I wondered if there would be a lot of stallholders there. Some decent bargains to be had, especially in glass and paintings and junky jewellery. As others have said it starts to close up around 12. You can get a coffee or lunch at the metro station and its on the RER so easy to get around. We will come back next time we are in Paris for sure.

We had several chances to visit Marché Maubert during our recent trip to Paris. These Paris street-markets are a very unique attraction in the city. Many locals buy their local produce at these locations. Also, there are other stalls selling clothes and other goods. But mostly: bakery, fish, butcher and fruit and vegetables.

A good place to visit during a trip to Paris. More an interesting experience than a shopping venue

Every day in Paris you can discover new places, for example go to the oldest market in Paris, named after the nearby hospital where orphans were clothed in red, and has been standing since 1628.
Here you can see the warm atmosphere of the people, buy fresh fruits or taste various foods and enjoy the atmosphere

A very clean but very expensive market open everyday but Monday. The food is quality though so you get what you pay for I guess. Even the vendor from the fruit and veg stand at the top of the street admitted this might be the most expensive market in Paris. Then he sold me on cheap and pricy tomatoes and told me to taste the difference. He was right. Excellent expensive tomatoes. I hated that he was right but so it goes. The seafood stands were also expensive with langoustines ranging from 23-98€ depending on the type. Yikes. There was a small stand selling roasted chicken that had the longest line. A good idea if your hotel is nearby. The fromagerie on the street was reasonable and we snagged a delightful Camembert. For a tourist, it’s a fun thing to see if in the area which is off the beaten track a fair bit. Test your French and eat great vegetables.

Rue Daguerre is a very nice pedestrian & shopping street where you can get all the French delicacies you want. Also nice restaurants.

What a pleasure to stroll a market selling incredibly fresh produce, fish, flowers and other tasty tidbits and enjoy the Eiffel Tower in the background! The market is held every Thursday and Saturday morning and is easily accessible from the Sèvres-Lecourbe stop on the Metro 6 line.

Place Monge market is one of our regular haunts when staying in Paris, it has a good range of foods, friendly vendors and a few small craft stalls.
Nowhere as big as Marche Bastille, but a great place to shop if you’re staying on the Left Bank.

It's the market street for the 17th and thus a great place to shop for all sorts of food, which is a lot of fun. And there are lots of good restaurants all around.

There are outdoor markets in many Paris neighborhoods, but this one is upscale. The display and variety are lovely and tempting. Fun part of town.

The Marché Saint Quentin (French for “Saint Quentin Market”) is a covered food market located between Boulevard de Magenta and rue Chabrol, within walking distance of both the Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est railway stations. The market is held in an attractive triangular 19th-century iron-and-glass hall in Victor Baltard style. Stalls sell a wide variety of fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, fish and seafood, bakery products, wine, plants and flowers, and more. More interesting for tourists are the many ethnic deli counters (Italian, Portuguese, Lebanese, Moroccan, Asian, Brazilian, you name it) selling takeaway or eat in food at very reasonable prices. Just take your food to the seating area (called “espace de convivialité”) in front of the wine merchant. There are clean loos. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Sunday. Closed on Monday.

I went there on a full stomach. Oh, well. BUT there were some nice silk scarves, wool sweaters, hand crafted items that were nice. Not A LOT, but some.
