The ramparts are in great condition, and what's more they feature interesting examples of vauban architecture. Worth a walk around.

You just have to see it, amazed I hadn’t heard about it. Spectacular and fun. Young teens loved it, as did parents. Worth the detour!

One of the best gardens I have seen in France. Quite large enough to spend an afternoon. Picnic areas and play area for kids

Fantastic place to walk, great views! This is a fantastic area for walking at any level. Good well marked paths and plenty of seating. Need to take refreshments with you but villages are close by to parts of the route.

We stayed here after visiting the Abbey at St-Michel for one night. It is an impressive and lively old town without the hordes of tourists. Wonderful cobbled streets lead to multiple bars and restaurants while passing by traditional Normandy style buildings. Dinan is a great choice for an overnight, we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed Oceanopolis whilst in Brest for a few days. ours was a fairly short visit - c.2hrs - as we just looked at the tanks rather than reading the information panels or watching the videos. We enjoyed the wide variety of marine creatures on display, especially the sharks. It was busy, but not unbearably so. There did seem to be some care for the welfare of the animals and a reasonable amount of space, except for one tank of very young sharks which was much too small. It was pricey by UK standards, but that's the case for many attractions in France. Overall we enjoyed it and we were glad we went. We were a family with a teenage child.

Fabulous walk around the ramparts with spectacular views of the harbour and out to sea. There are some unique shops selling more than just tourist gift. Would love to go back.

We stayed eight days in this nicely preserved medieval town in the historical center right next to the Cathedral. It is very scenic with its cobblestoned streets, half-timbered houses and some period architecture. The cathedral is interesting as well as the town walls, ramparts and the former moat. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops and a great market on Saturday. The historic center is about 15 minutes from the train station and it served as our camp in discovering the Golfe du Morbihan and towns such as Carnac, Auray and Quimper.

Very pleasant spot with good views. Interesting geology and plantlife. The restaurant/hotel is clearly popular with locals

A wonderful island, full of charm. However thankfully a previous reviewer had warned us of the deadly tractor drivers. We barely escaped unharmed. See photo for close encounter with tractor kind. BEWARE!!

Magical, fairy tale village. Absolutely like something out of Disney without the sparkles and imaginary images.
I just loved this place immediately as soon as you walked over the hill and it came into sight. I just smiled straight away and didn't want to leave.
We were lucky that we went in off season in October but sure it will be horrendously busy during high season so bear that in mind.
Will definitely go back and explore some more

We visited here primarily to get out of the heat of the day! It was well maintained and had some beautiful specimens. Unfortunately the translation from French to English at each tank is very poor.
It doesn't compare to the outstanding aquariums at Brest and Cherbourg, but we still enjoyed it.
