We visited as a family of six adults and one toddler and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty, even the basics like chicken nuggets or fishfingers. They tasted fresh, looked appetising and there wasn’t a complaint in sight at our table (and trust me - that’s not an easy feat!) The staff were so lovely and the outside area gives off a holiday vibe.

The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars was the sticky and uneven tables and dusty floors. It wasn’t a huge issue for us, as we disinfected anything our toddler dropped on the floor, but may be a bugbear for anyone who hangs a coat on the back of their chair as the bottom would get filthy.

Another thing to mention is the uneven flooring throughout. It adds to the authenticity of the place and should not be a problem but extra care should be taken by those who have difficulty walking or young ones toddling along.

Great park with good parking. We stopped for a walk and a picnic before a concert at the NEC arena and it was just the job on a nice day. Good do with some loos I guess!

Went to a rock gig at the NEC. The venue was ok for the actual show. Great views, exemplary sound, fantastic gig. The facilities were not great, Wetherspoons being the go to and obviously became packed to the rafters the closer it got to showtime.
Don't start me off on the parking. Expensive and essentially a total free for all on leaving. No real organisation and just a total mess, cars moving in all directions and bullying largely tolerated. There was no choice.

This was a great place to take family plus a very bored dog, for a couple of hours. We found the nature reserve, nice cafe and lovely tree lined areas with some extremely noisy birds ! It’s close to us but don’t visit enough. Enjoyed myself more than imagined.

Very friendly owner, told us all about the history of the rescue centre and about the animals he had. Lots of old and random items, which is part of the charm!

Lovely afternoon spent feeding the alpacas.
Secure parking. Family are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We were greeted warmly, given some information about the alpacas and then given time to eat our picnic. It was a chilly day so we didn’t spend too long over our picnic. We were a family of 8. After the picnic we were given time to meet and feed the alpacas. The daughter of the family gave us very interesting information about alpacas, we certainly learnt a lot. We weren’t rushed and given plenty of food for feeding the alpacas. Highly recommended 5*

To be honest not a good park as it used to be in the olden days too many youths spoli it for others by recking the swings for people to use in the day time and dog owners leave their dogs off a lead should be on a lead at all times

I enjoy the Ice Rink and the Ice is in decent condition. The BIG downside to visiting is the robdog Gypo Parking company who seem to be impacting the Rink negatively with the amount of times visitors get shafted with parking tickets. I got a ticket for leaving my car in badly worn out painted lines whilst I went for change to reception to pay. Beggars belief.

dont mix The Lakes withThe Craft Center. the lakes are great for a walk ...yeah theres kids/young adults smoking weed occasionally, but thats in EVERY park or space /town. yeah theres dog poo but thats due to bad owners as well as kids running and shouting, but again thats in all open spaces and again bad parents. The lakes are a great calming energy refreshing the batteries.
The CRAFT CENTER is still a little sad, units are business based not craft based. The Bird Group really need to change its name perhaps to earlswood business park!! Go to the new resturant WAVE. Nice food. As for paying for parking...GET THE CODE from the cafe. its free. it is to stop walkers from using it and not pay. use the woods or park free parking.
