Inside are the chapels and tombs of the good and the great (and not-so-good!) with truly beautiful stone carvings and fabulous examples of early coloured fan vaulting inside some of the very elaborate tombs.

Beautifully restored, it is now part of the John Moore Museum located in the medieval merchant’s houses in Church Street, and access is by arrangement from the museum.
Just opposite the abbey in church street and well worth a visit, isn’t a destination for the day but well worth taking the time if your in Tewkesbury.
