- Heidi C28 contributionsI came here with my Dad as we were in the area and both like museums.
It was very informative but in a way that didn’t feel like I was just reading off a board. There was always something to keep visitors engaged. From interactive activities for children to large scale recreation displays, I was very surprised and happy to see the variation in the way it delivered the information.
Definitely worth a visit if you can as it is appropriate for all ages. Would come again with others.
Cafe is quite small so if it’s busy I would eat somewhere else. Thankfully it wasn’t busy when we went so were able to get a drink and a snackWritten December 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The parking was plentiful and there was good toilet facilities within the complex.Written December 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tharindu KKandy, Sri Lanka243 contributionsWe went there with family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed the visit! Our kids enjoyed the open fields and the beautiful lake! We didn't go exploring much as it was cloudy but we had the most unforgettable picnic there! Highly recommend the place.Written August 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle54321Barwell, UK46 contributionsAs I was taking 4 elderly people with various disabilities, after some difficulty in obtaining a phone number that would be answered, I spoke to a very helpful lady who explained to me where to park and assured me she would help with access on the night. As arranged, I called her from the car park and she escorted us in through a back entrance and up in a lift. She arranged access to the disabled toilet on the same floor. We sat and had a drink in the lovely cafe area and then moved to our seats. The visibility was great because the chairs are offset. During the interval, another staff member showed some ladies to some additional toilets, when the queue became quite long. The show was great and the brilliant staff helped us to leave in the same way we had entered. It is rare today to experience such consistently excellent customer service. I was extremely impressed.Written December 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sam TSwindon, UK3 contributionsNice place for a romantic walk in the outskirts of Swindon. Not sure about rules in dogs. Parking was fine, but be careful if the I invisible speed bumps on the road in. May have caught one off guard.Written December 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tharindu KKandy, Sri Lanka243 contributionsWhat a crazy crazy experience! I felt we would be stuck in it for ever, but we managed to navigate out of this crazy roundabout successfully thanks to my friend! If you are around this is a must I guess!Written August 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Katie B7 contributionsWe love Roves and have signed up for membership at the farm because we visit so often. We've been many times now and our daughter LOVES how interactive the farm is. We always try to go early to avoid the rush and this morning we almost had the whole farm to ourselves! The farm is great value for money with multiple activities and soft play included with the entry fee. The tractor ride is well worth the extra couple of pounds and the driver's commentary is always a giggle for the grown ups especially!
I've seen lots of reviews recently saying that it's run down, but I think the reality is that it's a small working family farm. It might not be as glamorous as other similar attractions but it's clean, looked after and clearly loved by a great team of people and we love visiting. Keira in particular stood out today, engaging with my daughter and chatting with me whilst we petted the rabbits and fed the goats. You really can't go wrong at Roves Farm.Written October 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They had an array of computers, well displayed and information given. There's even the opportunity to play some retro games. BF found the model of his first computer - Sinclair 128K 2+ and played Dizzy! #Nostalgia.
So interesting to see how the world of computers started and changed. Worth a visit, especially for younger gen to see what computers and gaming was like.
Shout out to the team too who were friendly and knowledgeable. Only name I got was Chris.Written June 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn’t know about Jungle Parc but as soon as we did all 3 children wanted a go so we booked on for after lunch. We are so pleased we did. It is great value for money. The low ropes course build in difficulty and all 3 children loved every minute. I was really impressed with all of the staff but especially Dan who did the safety instruction and practice course. It was pitched perfectly for the age range but also for my son who struggles to process information. We will definitely be returning.Written August 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ian JPlymouth, UK287 contributionsLovely little Hillfort, but hard work to get to...
There is a permissive path signposted from the Ridgeway, but no way of actually getting to the site through the barbed wire fence surrounding it (unless you don't mind climbing through a hole that someone has cut just by the gate to the Hillfort.
The ramparts are impressive, although the ditch was filled with nettles - it's not being treated sympathetically.Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A+ for adding a splash of color to the usual otherwise mundane vertical adventures, definitely the best stair case in Swindon!Written January 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
