What travelers are saying
- Julia KBoston, MA179 contributionsGorgeous park, with lots of areas to explore and things to do (boat rentals, playgrounds, and there happened to be a fair/carnival when I visited over Easter weekend). Lots of children and dogs. Beautiful scenery. You do have to pay for parking.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sandraparsons2Derby, UK26 contributionsBeen to and hosted lots of kids parties. Good soft play with lots to do for different ages. Excellent for rainy days. Party experience very good with a nice selection of food and good party hosts.Written February 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JeffParryYoxall, UK185 contributionsWe came to see Rhod Gilbert and had a great time.
Easy parking and very reasonably priced. Easy access and quick exit after the show.
The venue is great inside, though 2 of the male toilet cubicles were out of order.
Good views and excellent acoustics. Looking forward to returning in 2 weeks.Written May 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sam3314Derby, UK1,695 contributionsLots of cherry trees out in bloom at the minute. The boar statue looks wonderful framed by a couple of trees. Reasonable number of benches to rest on.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Beverley HDerby, UK374 contributionsThis night is held every month on the first Friday of the month!
You don’t have to be a purest to enjoy the night as they have the main room which plays disco, Motown & Northern, whilst the smaller back room plays more purest Northern Soul!
It’s £6 entry and you can have some drinks and a good dance, makes a great girls night out, and keep your eyes open as there are some fab dancers there!
Ps it’s a great mix of people of all agesWritten March 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JANET BDerby, UK295 contributionsModestly signed from London Road, the entrance is wide with some turn-offs from there. Continue on to a single track road, where you may have to wait for oncoming traffic to clear. Not a big deal.
On your way through the later part of this lane, lined at its final part by huge and beautiful landscaping trees, community facilities become evident, skate boarding slopes being one of these.
The large car park can be clearly seen, ample parking. Several families appropriately distancing themselves from other visitors.
Little seating is apparent but this may be due to the current Covid crisis? We took our own camping chairs and seated under a large tree, were easily able to sit in the shade for several hours, chatting away.
It is perfectly permissible to take your own refreshments or picnic, but a cafe is open round the large building to one side of the car park. All hygiene aspects are being observed by this popular provider. Great tea and coffee are available.
A great public space which is available for everyone. I am ashamed to say that having lived in Derbyshire for 43 years, this is the first time I have spent time in a Derby park. It was lovely and look forward to going again, when I will explore further. I should have looked into these spaces before.Written August 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Hilary THeanor, UK2 contributionsIt was our first time in an Escape room so we booked The Signal. We were a group of teenage boys (mainly 14 year olds) and found it to be a really good fun hour of entertainment which provided a good level of challenge. The host gave hints when needed but we managed to escape before our hour was up! The clever way the clues were hidden around the rooms was great.Written May 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Danielle JManchester, UK2 contributionsWas our first time trying the escape rooms we picked the Tommy room was such a great experience definitely recommend 👌 will be back again myself. The host matty was really so hopefully and really plays the character wellWritten May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Fizzybee23 contributionsWe were looking for something to do Easter weekend with two older teens and this fit the bill perfectly. We opted for A Rough Trade as one of the less complex rooms, and did a fair bit of head scratching over one clue, but the games master had faith in us and did not interfere. We escaped! Good job - it means we can come back to do the other rooms, and we will!Written April 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lauren123!2 contributionsWe love escape rooms and Jack the Ripper did not disappoint - we unfortunately didn't make it out in time (boo for us). The staff were lovely and we cant wait to go back to try and crack another room.Written May 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AmandaLong Bennington, UK36 contributionsI took our 5 year old little boy to the toddler session in the Easter holidays and it was great. It wasn’t a busy session, the instructors were so good and he absolutely loved it. One of the instructors Harrison chatted to my little boy, helped him when he struggled to get down, gave him confidence and congratulated him when he did well. He was so lovely and made a big impression on our little chap! Can’t wait to go back.Written April 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Rebecca1 contributionI have 4 boys and only ever have parties at Megazone as they are best! The staff are always really helpful and organised which makes the experience enjoyable for the parents not just the children. My son recently had his 11th birthday at Megazone with 15 of his friends. The ages were mixed from 7 year olds to adult Brothers. They all had a great time. The food as always was top quality and plenty of it. My youngest is already planning his next birthday after having a great time. Thanks to all the staff!Written May 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stavros C2 contributionsWith impressive, high spec equipment and a nice chilled out vibe, we had a great time here. The VR set up looked amazing and the use of the LAN PCs was very comfortable and affordable. Dan was very helpful and approachable. Highly recommended.Written April 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Paul EDerby, UK439 contributionsWent with meerkat movies for 10am showing of Paw Patrol the movie. 2 adults 2 children. The cinema didn't open until 9:50 which didn't allow much time for snacks and ticket purchasing at that time.
When we did try, the hot drink machine was out of order, and caffeine would have been quite useful to get the grown ups through the morning.
Toilets were nice and clean and we had the screen to ourselves due to the early attendance but I don't think it would have felt crowded as the screen was quite well laid out itself with individual tables per seat and more than enough room in front and behind.Written August 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
