Fantastic experience in a very well laid out museum with an extensive display of thousands of interesting items in pristine condition from over the past century and beyond.

One of the best whisky tour so far. Lovely small old destillery. Great for the divers, i got my whisky in small bottle to home. I was able to enjoy the full experience.
    I highly recommend to all

A really well done, "medieval yet modern" museum with engaging exhibits that bring the history of the area alive. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Exceeded our expectations in every respect.

Spent a blustery afternoon in February at Belvedere House. A very pleasant garden and woodland walk despite the weather. A nice lady at the reception explained the audio system and, after a tasty lunch in the cafe , I spent a few hours wandering around the house and gardens listening to a very entertaining history of the place and its previous owners. The gardens , I expect, will be beautiful in summer when the flowers and trees are in bloom. There are children’s play and picnic areas so would be a great afternoon entertainment for families.
On the downside I would have liked to have seen upstairs in the house but I’m probably being nosy.

Beautiful. Spent five hours in Tullynally Castle. Gardens beautiful mix of old trees, flowers and walled gardens. Not too manicured. Quiet, peaceful space to walk and admire. 8 euros entry to gardens. Well worth it. If you like old trees, you will enjoy. No rush spot. Bring a book to sit and read in gardens or cafe. Cafe lovely to sit outside in court yard. Accessible toilet. We didnt get to do tour of Castle as booked out. So best to book in advance. Thurs to Sun openings
    I think so check ahead.

What a super, different, adventure to do as a family. Challenging, enjoyable & annoyingly brilliant all at the same time. My kids, husband and mother in law did it after dinner out and there was non stop chat about the whole experience & how the clues were, what we missed and how clever it was all laid out. Super host with necessary clues before frustration set in!!

Just back from a really fantastic afternoon and evening spent in the snug. Gillian, Michael and Dermot were so kind and helpful for any of the needs of the group. We had a hen party and had a wonderful area out in the beer garden to host our games. Later we had a room upstairs which was also fantastic. The cocktails were divine and the great live music went down great with the hens.

We went to celebrate 3 birthdays .. I booked it last August but I wasn't disappointed .. we booked spa treatments and everything was organised before we even got there
Check in was a breeze with the lovely Jana.
Everything was explained in a very professional manner.. rooms were lovely and comfortable and as we had booked 2 rooms they were inter connecting which was brilliant for us .
We had the gold package which gave us Fabulous dressing gowns wine and chocolates in our room but that wasn't the only nice treat we received beautiful treat and lovely fresh fruit slices as a welcome
. We had 2 nights evening meals in our package so we tried the hotel restaurant the first night .. the food was wonderful each of us enjoyed our meal
Second day was our spa day and we got the autumn special for €110 and we weren't disappointed we got neck lower back and shoulders massage with a mini facial .. we all came out lovely and light and totally refreshed ...the relaxation room is just delightful..
I had booked afternoon tea for my friends as a birthday treat for them all
It was scrumptious and had souch in it we didn't feel able to eat dinner that night
. Our third morning we used the pool another gem the hydro pool is fab and the pool is lovely
We walked around the grounds beautiful unfortunately we didn't get to do yew walk as felt it was too flooded for us
The staff are so friendly , helpful from the reception staff to breakfast , bar and restaurant staff , the spa and pool and the housekeeping we had interaction with all and can only say fabulous staff
I sat in lobby today having a coffee before we left and all I can say such a lovely relaxed hotel and the staff were buzzing they really seem to be happy in their jobs

Have also got to say I didn't get the chaps name but my god he makes a fabulous Irish coffee ..if you go into the waterfront bar try it you ll love it

The hotel does a wine and cheese testing but unfortunately we didn't get to that but we did the craft beer a lovely way to spend an hour

All round we had the best, relaxed , fun stay

Just booking the course for a society outing with Siobhan was a pleasure. She and all the staff were so accommodating, it was unreal. They were a pleasure to deal with and also very competitive when it came to green fees.

Traveled from Limerick for a surprise 40th. The team in Peddlers were great. They helped organize tables and finger food in advance of our visit and while we were there the service and friendliness was excellent. Great band on the Friday night and music over the in-house system on Saturday night. Great pint of Guinness and the cocktails were as good as we've had anywhere .. thanks to all the staff for a great few days

I find myself in a very lucky position, I met John about 2 years ago and I have received numerous massages from his magical hands. He is an extremely talented and experienced master masseur, that I am now blessed to call my friend. So if your in the Athlone area treat yourself to a magical few hours of pure bliss

Hard to say what my favorite part was, I enjoyed the castle, Seans Pub, oldest in Ireland and seeing the boats going thru the lock on the Shannon river was interesting.
Hotel was great, right along the Shannon and had a nice restaurant. Parking was included and everything was within walking distance. They have boat rides on the Shannon but I ran out of time. Clay Pipe Center is not far away and very interesting. Athlone was a great city to visit.

This is one of the most beautiful settings in ireland. Absolutely magnificent by the lakeshore, with superb food, relaxed and utterly professional staff. All courses were great and the sommelier gave good advice. Really couldn’t ask for any more.
