Had a such a fun time surfing in Strandhill, it was our first time and we all managed to stand on the board and catch a few waves thanks to the great instructor seamus!
Great fun and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to go surfing from beginner to intermediate

Overall, I would highly recommend this as a day out if in the Sligo area as it is less than ten minutes from Sligo town and the drive out to Strandhill is beautiful too.
Easily accessible by car or the bus which runs from Sligo town.

... the house ,Leo ,the tour guide , made the history of the house come alive and was very friendly and informative.The food in the coach house was fantastic and the views from the gardens are beautiful .Five stars!
Also has a huge exhibition area and a great tea room with homemade products some of which are made with produce grown on site, serious garden envy of the amazing kitchen garden!

There is so much to see there, all types of art, crafts and yummy food stalls in the market itself, as well as a cafe in the yard and art and craft units housing jewelry, stained glass, artwork, sculpture, pottery...
The ensite Cafe was packed, so we bought curries, empanadas and soup in the actual market, from Steve's stall, some spelt sourdough bread, pickle and cheese from the Murson Farm shop, and delicious French pastries...

A really excellent cultural and exhibition centre,worth a visit if you are visiting Sligo.It also has a very pleasant coffee shop and very friendly staff.Exhibits vary.
