#2 of 44 Sights & Landmarks in County Meath
Our guide Andy was fantastic!! From making our own homemade soda bread (which we ate with an incredible lunch of velvety vegetable soup and by far the MOST delicious scones I have ever had) to getting up close wit...
We definitely went at a great time as well and all the baby farm animals were around, got to see some calves, lambs, puppies and of course Ivan was the most magnificent one of them all!

They've got so much to do for families, farm animals (lambs, calves, goats, hens, pigs, turkeys, ducks etc), tractor rides, sandpit and water play area, maze, ride on tractors for kids, picnic area and restaurant.
There is a fabulous hay bale maze and a tractor ride on area plus some diggers outside in the sand pit and some giant tubes to roll around in! It’s all small scale but easily plenty to do on a good weather day.
Newbarn Farm Ashbourne

The best thing about Newbarn though is the animals... go buy a bunch of massive fresh carrots from the barn and go feed the chickens, geese, pigs, donkeys, cows and coats, they love it!
It's a great place for kids too - ducks wander around the farm yard and the kids can hangout with the kid goats!

Got brought here as a surprise, enjoyed everything about it, from meeting the farm animals and getting a tour of the farm to walking with the alpacas.
Then back to the farm for more animal fun with pigs, goats, geese, cows, turkeys, hens.

Afterwards, we went into a very large shed and there were goats, sheep, cattle, rabbits, chickens etc there which my little ones took great delight in.
Made a visit to Red Mountain Farm today with my friend and our Grandchildren aged 4, 5 and 2. They had a fantastic day.
