A lot of game machines, a medium size indoor water park and several rides: a great day for kids of every age! Worth the price and a good way to escape horrible weather at only 45 minutes from downtown Dublin

The ruins of the abbey were very impressive and as we visited with part of our tour we were able to hear a lot of the Irish and British history and how it affected the abbeys and churches in Ireland. Among the ruins you are able to see the original layout and signs around the abbey tell you about the history.

I enjoyed my first visit n quite a few years to this beautiful Church in the centre of Drogheda. I was showing a foreign visitor aroud who was fascinated to see the head of St. Oliver Plunkett but I was quietly confident that he'd love rhe Church too once there.
Obviously everyone comes to see the head preserved in a glass jar to the front left as you enter. I remember doing in on a school your when I was about 9 years old! It's macabre but fascinating and they have a very interesting explanatory set of wall panels to rhe side.
The rest of the chirch is besutiful too, though and that's what's often forgotten. The stained glass in particular is very impressive .

What a pleasure to meet Cara and hear about her lovely home. We really enjoyed our time here and left feeling really delighted that we had been. There is something so much more inviting about visiting a home rather than a monument

What a great visit to this wee Gem close to an ancient monastic site!

A most helpful staff, energetic, experienced and very welcoming made our visit a highlight of this Ireland tour for my valued guests

Talking about gin, all its ingredients like juniper, all kind of herbs, flowers and spices.

What a tasting room, wee distillery, and hand production line.

A family business , some 5 years old, run by neighbours and friends of the family.

After starting with gin and vodka, now going into whiskey.

And if the talk, visit and tasting is not enough, you can even join one of the weekend gin schools where you distill your own creation of gin. Wow! Couldn't get any better!

The Agustinian church in Drogheda is such a welcoming and open church. The priests there are wonderful. Mass there is such an uplifting experience and if you are lucky to go to the 1.15 mass on a Sunday if the gospel group are singing there are no words to describe how much you feel the presence of God

We really enjoyed to see how skillful are those kids under the age of 14. Great paintings.
In the other hand private art collection by Raphael Hynes was good but we liked most Carey Clarke, brilliant canvas oil landscapes paintings. Thanks to Highlands Gallery for the chance to visit the exhibition.

St. Laurence's Gate, which led to the Friary of St Laurence, is widely regarded as one of the finest of its kind in Europe. It consists of two lofty circular towers, connected together by a wall, in which there is an archway. Visitors can appreciate the spectacular dimensions of the mediaeval walls south of the gate at Featherbed Lane. The attraction is worth seeing until today in very good condition.

Absolutely love the monastic site at Monasterboice. Muirdeachs High Cross is magnificent. It features in most Irish school History books and with good reason as it utterly majestic. Very well preserved too considering it's age. The North and West Crosses are also beautiful as is the round tower that dominates the site. The grveyatds and church ruins are so peaceful and serene.
There's a small hut on the way in that was closed on our visit as it's out of season but I'd imagine it may sell souvenirs or even guided tours in summer? There's a decent sized free car park across the road opposite the entrance path and toilet facilities are available.
It's well signposted but it's a bit off the beaten track down tiny back roads. Trust the signs and you'll see the round tower looming as you approach.

God be with the days when you could go and you had a great choice of stalls and a good variety to pick from but not anymore the number of people going to the market has dramatically dropped its sad to see but i fear for the market i think its days are numbered
