The tour lasted about an hour, and gave us enough info to then visit the Kilkenny castle and the cathedrals, with a more complete knowledge of the history, and enabled us to enjoy it more. If you enjoy visiting museums on vacation, you should definitely stop at Rothe House. Very cool to learn about a specific family within the context of wider Irish history. - Amy KDublin, Ireland39 contributionsFantastic experience 👏. We stayed in the Newpark Hotel and entry to the park was included on our package. There are lots of dinosaurs, animals, fairy trails etc included in the entry fee and Bounce is an additional cost of €3 which is very fair. On our second visit to the park which was a Saturday we were delighted to see there were live shows, face painting and meet and greets with some of the dinosaurs which was a great touch. The park also offer a lot of other activities like tractor rides and go carts so there's definitely something for everyone. The staff on the ground working the live shows, face painting etc are just brilliant and definitely make the experience magical for the kids. - Nick L5 contributionsWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Jerpoint Abbey. The site has been restored so it tells a great story of the abbey and what life was like in that time. Sean did a terrific job as our tour guide. He clearly knew his history and put the abbey in good perspective as to the politics, religion, and societal norms of the day. He pointed out unique architectural details we would have missed on a self-tour. From start to finish, the whole experience was personal (tour provided by the owner and distiller himself, Morgan), informative, interesting and most importantly entertaining 👌. As a group of adult siblings (together again for a well overdue bonding session) I was unsure if the tour would go down well but in summary thanks to Morgan with his genuine love for his craft, storytelling and banter, the whole thing couldn’t have gone any better (the whiskey tasting definitely helped aswell 🤣). If you’re looking for a non-personal corporate money grabbing experience, you’ll be sadly disappointed with what Morgan and his family venture has to offer. Pity it isn't publicised more - we only discovered it by accident.
