I remember when getting on the ferry to Cherbourg was the start of the holiday but now it is something to be endured. The staff look so sad and if it is true they are badly paid you feel somehow complicit in their treatment. The food in the Boylan restaurant served on a cold plate is terrible and I see more and more travellers bringing their own. I wonder would the people who own this company be happy with the brown lettuce contained in a cardboard box. Surely it is time to take a long look at this. This is a really good ferry being let down by people intent on cost cutting and greed. Not the Irish way.

Our journey aboard the Stena Line Ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, was another enjoyable experience from start to finish. With a sailing time of just over 3 hours, we found ourselves pleased by all the amenities and comfort available on board.

We arrived at the terminal about 2 hours early, we were relieved to find a seamless boarding process that allowed us to avoid pre-purchasing tickets. Once on board, one of the first things that struck us was the spaciousness of the car deck.

As we explored the ferry, we couldn't help but be reminded of a cruise ship with its variety of seating areas and upgraded options for those seeking extra comfort. The entire vessel was very clean, and the ride itself was relaxing, offering views of the Irish Sea. We even say some saline.

The Stena Line seems to have the same amenities on-board as the ferry from Scotland to Belfast. which is really nice and familiar.

Excellent service. Travelled with 3 kids in car seats provided by Ger and the experience was very positive. Good quality car seats, taxi was very clean, lots of space for luggage in the boot etc. Ger is a true professional and would highly recommend.

We used the Luas on a regular basis over the three days we were in Dublin.
The trams were clean, punctual and ran to a very good timetable.
Would thoroughly recommend using the trams while in Dublin.
    Enjoy your trip.

The Princess cruise port for Dublin is actually down the coast in Dún Laoghaire, so we took the DART from there to the Pearse Station to start our exploration of Dublin at Trinity College. It was easy to navigate, clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. Later that afternoon, we retraced our trip back to the cruise ship. Although it has no real tourist interest in itself, take a couple of minutes to look at the unique and historical Pearse Station. The first rail station on this site was opened in 1834 and then rebuilt in 1891. It is Ireland's 2nd busiest rail station with over 9 million passengers going through the station each year.

Due to poor weather, our ferry was delayed by over an hour. Our driver Connor, kept in touch, was reassuring whilst the delay grew longer and was waiting outside the terminal for us to jump in to the car as he managed to get us, against all odds, on to the train for the next leg of our journey with literally no seconds to spare. I really didn’t think we were going to make it and assumed that myself and my young son would miss our connection and have to find somewhere to stay overnight in Dublin. He was friendly, polite and managed to drive safely and carefully, despite the lack of time. He even suggested nearby hotels for us to stay in overnight if we missed our train. He genuinely saved our holiday.

great for study abroad student arriving to dublin for the first time. brian communicated very clearly beforehand. had pat as a driver and he was excellent. i was very fatigued after a long flight and pat made the process super easy and helped with my several overweight bags, which i appreciated so much. on the drive over, he was friendly and gave me great recommendations and really useful advice for living in dublin. would 100% recommend, especially for solo first time travelers.

Great taxi service from Dublin Airport to Shankill, Dublin 18. As our flight was over 1/2 hour late taking off for Dublin we thought there might be a problem, but Martin texted when we had just disembarked and said he'd be waiting for us just outside the terminal building. He was very friendly and pleasant. The taxi fare was really good value (most Dublin taxis are very expensive) and the car was new and very comfortable. Would definitely use again.

We used Dublin Chauffeur services to ensure a hassle free trip from Dublin Airport for my 92 yr old aunt who was relocating from the US to Ireland. They seemlessly co-ordinated our arrival with Dublin Airport Platinum Services and our driver, Cliff, was exceptionally helpful with a very friendly and professional approach to our needs, both when we embarked at the airport and when we reached our destination. I cannot recommend the firm highly enough.

Got a return ticket from and to Dublin airport and bought the tickets at the airport- 14 euros return per person. Try and time your journey right as when the bus is full you won't get on and might have a hefty wait til the next one. Also, sit on the side of the bus with a view of the luggage compartment- as you put away and take out your own luggage, someone could end up walking off with yours. We noticed the bus driver didn't follow the published timetable and left our stop about 3-4mins earlier than advertised.

This review is a bit late but only because I was slacking. Our trip to Ireland was a celebration of 2 college grads and 2 high school grads, so we definitely wanted it to be perfect for everyone. Our family of 6, mom, dad, 4 young adult children (3 of ours and a boyfriend) were able to personalize our trip with the help of Donal and Tommy, I can not say enough amazing things about our experience with Lydon's of Galway, Donal, and our driver Tommy. From first contact to our final drop off, we were treated like old friends. Tommy was such a lovely guide/driver. His knowledge of his home is wonderful and his story telling was the best. We visited off-the-beaten path sites and dinned at incredible restaurants (thanks to Tommy's recommendations). Ireland is a beautiful country, steeped in history and Tommy made it all so much more special. We were immersed in the culture of Ireland, never felt rushed, and were able to tour at our own pace. Thank you Donal and Tommy for our family's most memorable vacation. I would say a trip of a lifetime, but we will be back and will touring with Lydon's of Galway. Sláinte!!

Caught the ferry from Liverpool to Dublin on Monday and returned on Friday,
although mainly for freight the ferries are comfortable and clean although there are some stairs to negotiate which rules out persons with disabilities. On the plus side two free meals are included and the price is great.

It would be great if they could expand the route to include Rathcoole too as this is still part of County Dublin. Few weeks ago the first route was full to its capacity by the time the airport hopper reached part of Clondalkin. They had to call for another out. Tip is you are better to book online so that, and I hope, this means it is guarantee that you are on that route you paid for. Never had any problems with them and always divert my visitors to use this and I pick them up somewhere between stops.

This tunnel should come with a warning since you’ll probably struggle to hold your breath for the entire length as it is almost three miles long. Sticking to the 50mph speed limit means it takes approx three-and-a-half minutes to get through.
