Booked as a present for my wife's birthday our trip from Liverpool exceeded our expectations. The staff here were excellent, ensuring we were supplied with food and drink at our beck and call all evening despite having already served the guests who paid extra for a meal beforehand to a packed room, a big thank you to them.
The show itself exceeded our expectations to the point where we were glad in many ways that we chose this occasion for an Irish dance show over Riverdance which is so hard to attend. The room is perfectly suited to a more intimate show which highlighted the stories behind the classic Irish tunes and songs they performed thanks to the acoustic guitar and vocalist, helped by an amazingly fast fingered accordionist and a Bodrum player who provided the catchy rhythms and his solo which would put to shame a drummer with a full kit of drums!
The sound was top notch also, where the mix was finely tuned to include even the tap dancers shoes giving all of us there to hear perfectly what was playing throughout. Then to the dance troupe of two men and three women who performed with gusto coupled with amazing control either singly or ensemble, replete with costume changes. One big surprise totally unexpected was the sound of the whole room singing 'happy birthday' to my wife, who was overcome with emotion, as was I - Utterly top class, thank you guys!
All in all our 3 day trip was an unforgettable experience, not just the show but to the Irish people and Dubliners who we met along the way, we are so grateful to have experienced their warmth and friendliness which will stay long in the memory.
