- Rachel BDublin, Ireland4 contributionsThe new 'world of soil' is amazing. Lots of animals. Estate good value for money as you could spend a whole day here. Easy access to luas and plenty of parking. Plenty of picnic spaces so bring your picnic. Cafes are very expensive €13 for a tea, coffee, croissant and biscuit. No ice cream as advertised.Written August 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CaoimheDublin, Ireland159 contributionsNice place to walk and see different parts of Dublin from afar. My favourite location to watch the sunset. Beach could do with being cleaner (there is often a horrible smell). Ok spot for swimming and there’s a coffee shop there too.Written June 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Decided to bring our dog 🐕 there for a walk last Monday as I was off. Fingal CC have done a great job on this park. Lovely walks and two fabulous tree sculptures. Well worth a visit and the playground is huge. They have an ice rink here over the Christmas period too.Written September 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sure, undisturbed back gardens can be very good havens for city wildlife, and for that reason it is a good thing. But don't get the idea that it is worth a visit.
There are countless other (better for wildlife) long private back gardens around Ranelagh and Rathmines.
But hey, there is a very interesting old milestone on the far side of the road "Rathmines 1847" Its from the days when Rathmines was its own little town, with Dublin to the north and the fields of Donnybrook to the south. Donnybrook Fair was an infamous annual horsefair, piss-up and general brawl that people used to come from far and wide to enjoy.Written December 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
