What a gem. We came here the same day we saw the Book of Kells and found this to be a much more interesting (and free) experience. Beautiful collection and the cafe has delicious food as well

Excellent public facility. Free of charge. Beautiful building/complex. You can spend the whole day here - there's so much to see. Staff welcoming and friendly. The Luas (tram) stops right at the door. Only negative is the restaurant wasn't available (website says its closed).

This museum is very different from the other Irish Museum near Trinity. It is also free. Read ahead or call about what is being exhibited to see if you are interested. The exhibit at the time we were there was interesting, but not compelling. We had read about artists in their collection but they were not on exhibit at the time.

The permanent collection will be on exhibit next year. So it is a work in progress.

It is located off the beaten track and may be difficult to get a taxi from there. However, there happened to be one dropping off someone as we left! The BigBus hop on hop off bus stops there and we should have gone when we were on that bus. So keep that in mind.

We visited The Icon Walk with our tour guide Patrick during his 4-hour called “Dublins best kept secrets”. It is a community of artists who have transformed back roads into a living art project. Lots of dedicated artists make the Icon Factory to a fun place to visit, buy pieces of art or some unique souvenirs to support this project. Take some time to have a chat with e.g. Anthony about art, Dublin and the world. You will not regret it.
The Icon Factory is under threat because the landlord wants to use the space for a restaurant and the artists have not yet found a new space. I really do not understand why the city does not support and promote such a great place!

Good stuff. Very thought provoking. And Free. Maybe an hour at the most.
It’s as much a gallery and museum as it is an educational center.
Main exhibition was from Lorraine Tuck

I am a huge gallery enthusiast, so when I found this gallery I was truly stunned. There is a lovely selection of fine art. When looking at the paintings the owner of the gallery came up to me and gave me information about everything I was interested in so it was very pleasant.

Happened across this small art studio. Such good luck. I really like the creativity and determination to express! Stayed to talk about the art world in Dublin. Highly recommend

Small little place but some nice bits & pieces on. Recently went to German movie night & later an exhibit on Love Letters. Staff were lovely. Keep an eye on this place.
