A must if you are visiting Dublin, the history although very sad it is also very enlightening and quite eerie, the ultimate sacrifice these men and women gave for Ireland is nothing less than heroic.

Really enjoyed the walkthrough - self guided tour and spent over three hours in here. You queue up outside in your time slot the go in and it does take a bit of time but not crushed or chaotic. Layout inside was good. Very hard to get a seat in the gravity bar & this was a shame- would have stayed longer. We had a cruffin & cinnamon whirl part way found and cafe was reasonably priced & pastries were lovely. Slightly disappointed that the advertising section didn’t have a reel of all the adverts playing and even on the self selected screens there were only a few to watch. Also took over 10 minutes waiting for a lift down from floor 5 but it was impossible so we took the stairs instead. Didn’t have the audio guide as missed where you got these from but enjoyed the displays & audio/ info so wonder if the audio guides are for different languages. We did really enjoy the storehouse and it’s been the best part of our trip. A map of the inside would also have been useful.

Our wonderful “guide” Eamon provided us with a 30 - 40 minute narration of the history of Ireland. His engaging and humorous rendition provided not only a political history but also cultural, entertainment, and literary history. He was adept at involving the participants (audience?) as he weaved his stories with reference to various “artifacts” in the room. This experience was one of the best I have had during a vacation and I highly recommend it all visitors to Dublin.

I went on 24th of August with my family and all of us was amazed by the museum. Alan took us around the history of Irish Rock & Roll and we clearly felt his passion and his incredible knowledge for music. In our group there was also a Spanish guitarist, so we had also a small private concert which was really funny. It's a beautiful experience also for younger people.

Our time at EPIC was spent with Dr. Declan Brady. He was a wealth of Knowledge about Irish & American history. He provided me with some tantalizing clues about my hard to locate great-grandmother. Thanks!!

We took the tour with Niamh, and she was a wonderful representative for the cemetery and for Ireland. She explained the history of the cemetery and gave interesting biographies of some of the historical figures who are interred there. The museum is also a worth gem and provides great insight to the Glasnevin story. We both highly recommend a visit to this important Dublin landmark.

These types of museums (displays) are sometimes a bit “meh” but in reality it was a great way of learning about the history of Dublin over the last 1500 years. Temper your expectations. This is not a living re-enactment but instead very real examples of how people lived and died in years past. Is it a good activity, yes. I gave it a 4 because it did well at its intended purpose (museum). The staff were very friendly and the tour guide was well informed.

Did not realise till arriving here and listening to the passionate reception person telling that this museum is part of the museum chains are there are other two museums in Dublin and one in Co Mayo all part of the chain and showing different eras.

You can do the museum in one hour or two hours or can spend 5-6 hours depending on how much deep you want to go into the history.

The cloak room was a nice surprise as could leave my stuff on arrival and get a token!

I really loved this museum. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because I think it would really benefit from more written descriptions of the animals on display. Some have longer descriptions but many do not. Some are even missing a label of what the animal is. But in general, its an entertaining way to spend an hour or so. I was with two kids, ages 6 and 8 and they were kept interested for the duration. They especially liked the bugs, and the golden eagles. My daughter loved the peregrine falcons. When we were there the second floor was closed, it was just one big (densely packed) room, and there weren't the zebras or elephants I see in the pictures online. But it IS free and I can say in light of that, it is more than worth your time to stop by.
