Very funny mix of comedians with a wide range of jokes, stories and energies. Definitely worth a visit and Whelan's is a great location in the heart of Dublin. Not one to be missed and 100% book in advance to avoid disappointment. Free in to a silent disco afterwards which is a whole other experience and a unique way to spend a Monday evening. Go with friends, family, on a date or with colleagues - you'll definitely leave this one laughing until your stomach hurts!

I’ve been here several times in the past few years and it never disappoints! The comics are always great, it’s FREE (donation based at the end) and there’s free ice cream/popsicles given halfway through. Really, what more can you ask for? Thanks Comedy Crunch for being a consistent staple on my trips to Dublin. Everyone needs to see this show!

If you want a good night out in Dublin, go to this. I think it is great value for money. We even got a free pint of Irelands Edge.

We entered this bar looking for a quick bite to eat. It is a classic bar. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the Irish Stew was really good.

Very enjoyable evening. I bought the voucher 2.5 years ago & finally got to use it this evening. I had mistakenly booked for Friday 6 May but a very helpful Chap on door managed to get us in, with fantastic seats. I don't know his name, but he was a total Gentleman. Many thanks

Comedy Gold Club holds a community of only the very best local and international comedians that come into town. It’s hilarious and diverse with a strong sense of feminism. A must if you’re looking for a fun night to remember and they always get the most intimate and great looking venues every Friday!

Decided to check this place out last time I was in Dublin after mostly only going to comedy in Belfast, and this was place is cracking. Its a fairly intimate club but there was a great atmosphere and everyone in the crowd was laughing their arses off

What a great cap to a night out!!

These guys are so popular they do 2 shows on a Saturday night so we thought we could just rock up and see it. Not so - the 7.15 show was sold out, and the girl on the door said the only way to get on the next show was to go on line on our phones and get tickets - which we did. Was well worth it !!!

There are 4 acts in the show with a 10 min toilet / booze break after the first 2 acts. Really raw comedy. The compere ripped mercilessly on one young lad in the audience, which I have to say was very funny for everyone, but in truth the poor lad was mortified, and I encourage the host to rip on those who can (a) stick up for themselves, and (b) won’t mind so much. This poor guy was neither of those!

The compère also ripped on me as a Brit - but in fairness I agreed with his comments re Brexit and the UK, and it was all in good humour. Plus I am unembarrassable - and yes, that is a challenge!!

The venue is really compact and friendly - very personal. Absolutely loved every minute of the show - all the acts were great. One act in particular stood out; can’t remember his name, but he looked a lot like Jesus (amazed he didn’t make something of that in his routine). His act was super-original, (as were the others in fairness). This guy brought out the gritty reality of growing up in the North - really good stuff.

Definitely recommend this venue. They let you take your Guinness up from the pub downstairs, and even remind you when the shows about to start, (which is helpful after so many Guinness’s).

A very looooong overdue review. Sorry, Tightrope!
This show was the best part of my trip to Ireland, and everything else I did was WONDERFUL. That's how good my experience at The Tightrope was.
If you're in town on a Sunday or Monday evening, I can't think of a simpler, more joyful way to spend your time. The show was affordable, the drinks were plentiful, and the laughs were an embarrassment of riches.
I only had the privilege of seeing Tumbleweed, ET Improv, and Kirsty the night I was there, but if their skill, love for the art form, and daring styles were any indication, whichever teams you happen to catch will be worthy of your money.
Thank you, Tightrope for an enriching experience. I came back to Los Angeles and bragged to all my improv friends about the truly great work being put up on your stage.

Brilliant night. The room is great, you can never have enough red velvet walls in a comedy club. the comedians were top notch, much less patchy than most nights I’ve been to in Dublin. Headliner Stephen Mullan was brilliant, the “sexy Chinese” comedian Nghia Mai was top class too… but Lauren stole the night and won the medal.

I had a pleasure to attend comedy evening by meet up application. The atmosphere there is pretty cool and comedians did their job to entertain me heavily.
If you dont know how to start a week with a bunch of positive flows definitely go there. Also highly recommended for tourists while visiting rainy Dublin these days :-)

We visited here years ago one St PAtricks Day and not alot could be said other than it was soaked in St Patrick's Dublin culture. It was alot quieter but staff friendly and the locals also. Had to show vaccination status a d maintain social distancing but this wasn't an issue. It has certainly improved since last time, alot cleaner....and a decent pint of guinness.
