Silver strand sparkles as it’s name suggests - Unspoilt and special - it’s busier now 5han it used to be as its on the wild Atlantic way - but it’s still quiet and beautiful and a pleasure to share
I was in luck with the weather - sunny, cloud free etc. which probably brought the beauty of this place to a different level altogether, it certainly exceeded expectations and is an (almost) hidden gem.

We stayed overlooking the beach lovely walks and great sunsets but be careful of the tides as when the tide comes in you can get cut off at some of the rocks

The weather was fantastic for this time of year and as there is a great path right the way along the beach I enjoyed a good long walk the whole way over to the old castle remains.
As we visited in late september it was cold but what and amazing beach clean and waves that would be a surfers dream

Beautiful beach, lovely to stroll along, or jog! Lovely sand, really clean, beautiful views of Donegal Bay.
Rossnowlagh Beach has fond memories from holidays years ago enjoyed on the long, firm, Beach, on which Cars can safely drive, and which has lots of space for all to enjoy.

If you are fit, leave the car in Falcarragh, walk along the back roads to the beach car park, then head back to Falcarragh along the beach to the pier.
