Robert Burns's birth place (Burns Cottage) and the 'Robert Burns Birthplace Museum' are not the same thing, and neither are they adjacent to each other. The photo on the front page of these reviews shows the entrance to a shop in Alloway, which is next door to the Cottage.
Burns Cottage is (albeit a very pleasant) 11mins walk away. Do see both. The yard staff and instructors are so nice and trustworthy and the lesson horses are so kind and honest and bombproof. I have learned so much from all of the instructors that have taught me and they somehow gave the confidence to jump my first 70cm this year.
