What travelers are saying
- Lydia S2 contributionsLovely castle. Wasn't able to walk around all of it as I go quite tired, but loved the parts of the gardens I was able to see. A beautiful place to sit and relax. Truly magical.Written October 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vickie HAjax, Canada75 contributionsLong Story Short…My Cousin and Wife live in Inverness and we had amazing opportunity to visit places we may not have been to or stopped at without their guidance and knowledge. Our trip to Nairn left me a bit speechless. I didn’t know about the Memorial for those that were stationed there and trained there to aid in stop the invasion of troops who may have attempted to cross here. Aside from the History of that, Nairn use to be a fishing harbour and when the boats came in with the fish, the fish wives were waiting for their men to come back and helped to clean all the fish that were caught. Now it’s a nice little scenic and active boat harbour. There’s a nice sandy beach to use, and before getting to the beach, a beautiful park area for family with play area for kids, snack food, ice cream, washroom facilities and paved walking path (pet friendly). The town is quaint and for us, had a record store to visit and directly across from there a wine store…perfect match…nice time in NairnWritten October 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stephen PCardiff, UK24 contributionsA fascinating insight into Nairn as well as surrounding towns. Many artefacts are well displayed. Also a maritime section and currently a D Day Anniversary display.
Wheel chairs have access to all displays, including a stair lift to the first floor displays. There is parking outside.
The staff were helpful and informative. - drkiki2015Washougal, WA495 contributionsHistoric and beautiful on the Findhorn River, viewers can take a short walk from a parking area to an overlook. Unsure if there is access to the river level.Written June 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pauline EInverbervie, UK60 contributionsLovely farm shop, very well stocked. Quite pricy for their berries (although absolutely delicious looking) couldn’t justify slightly under £10 for a punnet. had ice-cream instead and that was great value for moneyWritten September 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark FHolland, MI36 contributionsWe had 12 golfers from the states visit Scotland this September. The weather was perfect. Our group has handicaps from 5 to 25. Nairn championship course was considered by all of us to be the most difficult course we played (but not the most well known) all week. It was a fantastic experience from check in to the end of our rounds. Pro shop personnel were friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape and views from the course were fantastic. Highly recommend.Written October 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Once there, there is nowhere to turn round to go back to the A939, you have to continue on, downhill and round hairpin bends, to turn round at the church. Coming back was worse - fear of meeting another vehicle. I'll never go again!Written November 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
