Neptune's Staircase Banavie
#1 of 1 Sights & Landmarks in Banavie
Watching boats seamlessly traverse their way from bottom to top is amazing and to top it all off the views of nearby Ben Nevis make it a sight well worth seeing.
Even on a rainy day in October this site is worth seeing and walking Marvellous engineering and a nice but short walk Places to eat and buy souvenirs here too Surrounding scenery is stunning.

Breathtaking views of lochs, mountains and the coastline await.
A few more places to comfortably stop, away from the road, to enjoy the view, stretch the legs etc would be my only suggestion.

It's a cracking site to visit, lots of heritage and a great place to stop for a picnic & to take in the magical views up loch Linnie and upto Ben Nevis.
The great thing about this, is the monument where you start hiking The Great Glen Way is located in this park created on the historical site.

... Ft William in favour of a visit here during a National Holidays excursion and were glad we did - the weather was just perfect, crisp & clear with panoramic views of snow-capped hills, including Ben Nevis.
Latterly the memorial garden on site has been used to commemorate fallen Commando soldiers from more recent wars, and there are green berets from Commando troops who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
