An amazing day! Our guide Lewis was exceptional - so professional, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. We saw Cairns, Urquhardt, Highland Cows, Cawdor, Beuly, Culloden, and more. Lewis got us there, told us all about it on the way, brought us in and showed us exactly where to go and helped us know how to make the best use of time. A great pace for the day - nice mixture of being efficient with travel and sequence plus also taking time at some places. As an American family of 4, there is no way we could have recreated this trip; we wouldn’t have known where to go and what we were looking at, not to mention we don’t want to rent a car and drive on the left side of the road! This tour was definitely one of the high points of our 10 day trip through Scotland.

Our guide, Carole, pick us up on time and on our way we discussed different ideas we had as to what to do and she gave us some ideas that would utilise our time best.
Dunvegan Castle was stunning, not only the castle itself, the beautiful gardens but also the interior, you could really imagine people through the ages living in this amazing place. The gardens were a delight to walk through even though the weather was a bit hit and miss.
The Fairy Pools lived up to their name. The waterfalls were unbelievable especially if like us you had never seen a real one and the pools were so clear you could see the bottom, with a little imagination even the teenagers could see the fairies whipping along the water. It took us about 30mins to walk, from the car park, to the first pool. There were a few parts that were slightly steep but nothing unmanageable, no moaning from kids, and we all enjoyed the landscape and wildlife along the way.
Carole told us that Portree is the main town on the isle, again the landscape was amazing. We spent some time watching the boats at the harbour and we walked around the quaint town where we also had something to eat. We popped into the Visitor Centre which was interesting as well as educational and of course we got some souvenirs.
Everything from going over the Skye bridge (twice), the activities and the stunning landscape was an absolute delight we could not come to agreement what we enjoyed the most.
Our guide Carole was wonderful, she was chatty and knowledgeable. We told her what we had looked at prior to the tour and she gave us various ideas of what we could do. Her suggestions were spot on for our group. I cannot fault anything about our experience and would recommend this tour company to anyone. Thank you for a great day Carole

Me and my family were vacationing in UK. As there is lot to see, we did not had enough days to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. I was not sure whether renting a car and driving on the opposite side of the road (living in US) will be any fun. So me and family opted to for private taxi service provided by Luxury Highland Chauffuer. Both Ibrahim and Prashant were very polite and punctual. Without their service we would not have been able to see Eilean Donan, Skye Bridge, DanRubin castle and distillery in one and half day. Tour bus takes lot more time and you end up seeing less. Also driving can be stressful and less enjoyable. I will highly recommend their services.

We had Graham the Kilted Warrior for our tour and he was fantastic. Just a really nice guy and a pleasure to be around for 12+ hours besides how knowledgeable and accommodating he was. I also appreciated that he could point out things and talk about it and still keep his eyes on the road. I never once felt unsafe or that he was distracted in any way. He’s a really, really good, safe driver. My only regret is we didn’t get a pic with the Kilted Warrior. I am recommending him to my friends family who is coming over in August. 10/10

We spent three nights in Inverness in June 2024 and were very fortunate to spend our two full days on tours with Billy Fraser of Highland Private Tours. On the first day, we took the Speyside Tour, including Ballindalloch Castle, Speyside Cooperage, and Glenfarclas distillery. Billy was a charming and affable tour guide, attentive to our needs and interests. He was on time, polite, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend two days with. On the second day, we went to Isle of Skye. Although the weather was a wee bit stormy, Billy was a ray of sunshine, taking us to amazing local spots like the Oyster Shed near the Talisker Distillery. Billy was eager to share his knowledge of local culture and a great ambassador for the Scottish Highlands. Great guy and guide.

I would highly recommend this tour to the Isle of Skye! Ryan is a fantastic tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history, friendly and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to make sure my family and I saw everything we wanted to. His driving was great on those narrow and twisty roads!

The trip arranged by Euan was very good. We could not get the distilleries we wanted (ie Balvenie or Macallan) but the options provided by Euan was a good alternative. Our driver, Stephen, picked us up early at our hotel at 6:45am and started the long drive up. We went to Glenfarclas, Aberlour and Cragganmore distilleries. The Glenfarclas visit was my favourite as the guide shared a lot of information and we get to see the fermentation process in the mash tuns (that was so fun). Sadly Aberlour is upgrading its facility and so we only went for the tasting.

As we had a jam-packed itinerary, Stephan was nice enough to keep us on the clock so that we don't end up being late for the subsequent visits. After Aberlour, we were surprised that Euan had reserved a table at Dowan Hotel 57 (Speyside) for lunch and we had a fantastic meal there. As there was a bit of time, we made our way to Glenlivet for tastings and then head to Cragganmore for the distillery tour. It was a comfortable ride back and we reached Edinburgh slightly before 8pm.

Overall, we enjoyed the trip and do recommend Whisky Wheels. However, please do note that responses from Euan can be slow. There were regular email exchanges when we were finalising the trip details and full payment was made in March. However, there was nothing from Euan 1-2 weeks before the tour, despite sending emails and follow up chasers. I was concerned that this was a scam, and started reading the review comments. Fortunately, the reviews I read did reduce my anxiety as most of the reviews were good with the comment on communication with Euan. With that, Euan did finally send me the details a few days before the trip, and we did have fun that day.
