- AR P396 contributionsAlthough it's a longer walk than expected, this was a lovely castle ruin with a lot of history. It also has signs to tell you about the place and what it looked like in the past.Written January 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian M9 contributionsUnfortunately, I didn't have enough time here, but was told the next time, I'd get in for nothing. Very good value for money, I received a guidebook, which explained most of the exhibits. This place took me back to my childhood.

You don't see this from the A99! All this and a generous sharing of insights about the natural and human history of the place! - Jonnyboy2550Cardiff, UK620 contributionsWe enjoyed a lovely walk along the Sandy beach. It was so quiet and peaceful, with just the gentle roar of the ocean.
Easy parking just beyond the golf club with just a few steps down to the beach itself. Feels like it is a good mile from one end to the other.Written September 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Marj IVermont, Australia11 contributionsWe visited the Nucleus to gain knowledge of family history from the Caithness Archives.
The people were very friendly and most helpful.
They have access to all historical records of the Caithness area.
We spent a couple of hours there researching one family member.
There was no cost involved.
