We hit the height of the bright yellow Gorse bushes along the trail and it could NOT have been prettier, despite the dreary weather. I was expecting a hill climb but this definitely made me work hard for an early morning adventure! The views are spectacular and this has to be something you include if you are planning to visit.

Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfectly organised, from the stunning visitor route which covers all the interesting areas of the yacht and its extraordinary history, to the audio guide (simple and easy to use). I did not see so many members of the staff, just at the audio guide distribution point and in just one single point on the boat. So I do not know if it’s supposed to be like this or there was shortage of staff…but visitors were left by themselves all the time and every area…

Primarily went to see the Audubon exhibit (he is one of my favorites) and was blown away by the entire Museum! I ended up there for hours. There is such a variety of exhibits. I found myself saying "Okay - just look at this next wing and then head out" over and over. Don't miss the rooftop terrace through the History of Scotland section. The architecture of the building itself is intriguing and satisfying.

Unique and charming. Everything almost made of gray stone. It causes some bewilderment and surprise with its old original style. It is raised quite high above the ground. It surprises with its multi-stage nature.

We took a guided tour and learned some great stories including the oldest recorded picture of the US Stars and Stripes ( in the prisoners of war museum, hint it was carved into a door) Great place for views of the surrounding area. If you want to watch the changing of the guard with a smaller crowd, recommend watching it from above

    So much fun!

Booked this for something to do whilst visiting Edinburgh. I didn't expect it to be so good, we really enjoyed it all, lots of fun interactive images etc.

    Would highly recommend!

Fans of #Reign and #MaryQueenofScots would like this. Her embroidery work is preserved and under glass. Portraits of Mary are in a grand room. The furniture is very nice. This is the more formal of the palaces on The Royal Mile. Reservations required. A dress belonging to Queen Victoria is on display. Queen Elizabeth II lives here in August.

Very busy and rather expensive on the mile, somethings were cheaper a few shops behind the mile area. But still nice to visit

We LOVED it. You get the full experience. You learn the history of whisky and how it is produced in a very Disney style. The Guide is educational and you can see he knows what he’s talking about it. For the tasting, it’s best to take the Gold option, which gives you 4 additional tasting. We wanted to book the option with food pairing, but we were leaving the next time. This is a must go.

Great for walking - beautiful views, some historical sites, flowers - you can spend the whole day there with family

What can we say except, WOW!

We have watched the show many times over the years but it is lame in comparison to the real thing.

The ambiance, the volume, the audience participation...everything.

We were here during the Edinburgh festival, so the streets were full but the lines to the concert which holds 8000 seats, moves extremely quickly with the help of the many police and military personel.

We were lucky enough to have great weather throughout the show.

Fireworks at the end of the show help make this one of the most memorable experiences you will have in a lifetime.

Really enjoyed this wee island. We booked the boattrip including 11/2 hour stop on the island. The weather was nice and we had brought some lunch which we enjoyed on the bay/beach next to the abbey. The abbey itself is still closed, which we knew, but you can still see plenty and get a good view from the top of the island. Nice walk up to the top and wind your way down around the hill. Plenty of viewing points and lots of birds!
The toilets were clean and there is a wee shop where you can get souvenirs and some soft drinks. The trip to the island was a bit rough but most people found that good fun i think. Lots of seals in the rocky island before you get to Incholm which was really nice and we got to see all 3 bridges from the water. Really nice trip and island.

The Forth birdge is best seen from crossing the Queensferry Crossing bridge.

You would not see the full scale from the train line that crosses it.

There are otherview points, especially from the Forth Bridges Viewpoint.

What was mostamazingto learn zbout thie now, UNESCO heritage listed site is the constant never ending painting and maintenance to keep the bridge safe and in good repair.

We saw a wonderful variety of flowers at this gem. The best part is entry is free ( although you may feel compelled to leave a donation) Grounds are well manicured and there is comfortable seating throughout with beautiful views.

I went here because I'm an Outlander fan and this is a primary filming location for part of the show. Everyone from the gate attendant to the guides was extremely kind and helpful. This estate is beautiful and full of history. The guide, Jennifer, was so helpful and knowledgable on Outlander information, but she also gave me so much history about the estate itself. It was a great experience and I would recommend any Outlander fan to visit.
