No trip to Edinburgh is complete without ascending the 350-million-year-old Arthur's Seat - and although the climb is hard work even for those of reasonable fitness, the views from the top make it well worthwhile.

Choose your day carefully, though. Heat, rain or cloud can all diminish your enjoyment to varying degrees, so aim for a cool, clear day to make the most of your climb. You won't be disappointed!

We recently visited here while on vacation in Edinburgh. My child enjoyed a few things towards the end and the camera obscurra show. It was an enjoyable experience.

This is a great tour- totally worth the cost of a ticket. Some may say it is too "touristy" but we really enjoyed our experience. Our guide was great-- lots of really interesting information, and a little bit of drama.

Bianca, our guide, was superb. Learnt lots about chocolate but that's not why I was there, was all about the sampling and making. Sampled 10+ chocolates overall and made bars into different shapes with the molds. Had a great time, would come back

If you’re going to Edinburgh this is a must see at least once in your life. It happens when the Fringe and Festival are on so expect crowds and increased prices. That being said, this defines “well oiled machine.” Get a seat high up and towards the middle, bring a jacket because you never know about the weather. Get a program so you know what’s going on. It’s easy to compare it to the past but things evolve, it’s been on for 70 years. It’s 90 minutes of constant entertainment, go before you go…

First of all it’s great value, very cheap for 3 adults and 1 child. There is soo much to see and do, you would need to give yourself 2 hours. There is a great workshop where you assemble a full adult real skeleton. Plenty of interactive attractions. Thousands of body parts and organs stored in jars as well as hundreds of modern and old surgical instruments and devices. This is not for the faint hearted or squeamish. Highly recommended.

Booked the 'brew it yourself' experience after a friend recommended it, and the 4 of us rocked up with an open mind how the day would go.
We took a couple of bottles with us as we were looking for an Oktoberfest session Lagerbier, and Nathan and his buddy did a tasting with us to try to nail down the flavour profile. Their palate, nose and knowledge was very impressive, and they explained every step of the process.
You are back a few times into the Bar & Pizza kitchen during the process but that is fine as you get done actual beer tokens to try some of the numerous beers on tap.
We loved the interaction, learning about how beer is made, picking our style, grains, hops, flavour and aroma over a 3 hour period.
We stayed a bit after, had some AMAZING 🍕 as well. Looking forward going back in a few weeks for the bottling session, but just wanted to say I cannot recommend this experience enough, and you getca pule of your own beer at the end AND you design your own beer label.
It will mot be the last time we do this, amazing day, products and staff.

Great planetarium if a little expensive, we went to a live show which was very well presented and entertaining however the prices for admission are a little steep.

Beautiful sunny day for a walk with the Alpacas (Praline and Petros). Bob and Cat were really friendly and welcoming. Took you through the dos and don’t while walking the alpacas. Loved hearing about their individual personalities. You could see the separate paddocks for the males, mummies and babies (Cria) and Yearlings - they are well taken care of and spoiled for space to roam around freely. There are a few expectant Mums so more new additions to the family are due any time now. The walk lasted for around 90 mins and you then went back to feed the alpacas their dinner. The experience was really informative, Bob and Cat wanted you to ask lots of questions. The Alpacas were well behaved when cyclists, other walkers and dogs were around. It was a family friendly experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again later in the year when it’s cooler and less flies around - the alpacas didn’t like the flies very much or the heat.

A very informative and (often darkly) entertaining tour. Our guide, Stew, was very engaging and managed the tone of it all very skilfully.

We did the Tortuga Pirates Escape Room which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had only done an Escape Room once before so thought it would be the right level for us. Our game master was Bob who helped us out on a few occasions!! We didn't finish it on time but because there was no one else in after us, Bob let us finish the game which we thought was very good of him. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really interesting tour of this small craft brewery in Edinburgh. Alex and Ellis were brilliant, told us interesting facts about beer making and the whole brewing process. Really cool to see how dedicated they are to making something special. And we got to taste so many of the beers - delicious! We’ll def be searching for them in the Netherlands. Thanks for the great afternoon guys!
