The best overall experience in Edinburgh, in my opinion. It is beautiful, a little strenuous, and totally rewarding. What a view!!!

Rooms are decorated nicely and the self-guided audio tour was great to be able to go at our own pace. Definitely recommend.

This tour was a great little addition to our visit to Edinburgh. Just the right balance of history, information and gin tasting. Really interesting and Alyssa was very engaging.

A really good, captivating way to convey so much information. A real hands on tour, including squashing rocks, ice sculptures, volcanoes, time travel, chimps in the rainforest, looking for fish, and a 3-D flight across the world. We took a 4-year-old and he was entertained for the entire tour, but I'd guess apt for a range of ages.

Capped off by a near-unique smashing cinema experience.

We did the blood and guys tour as part of a visit to the Surgeons Museum. Gerry with a G was our host and was simply brilliant! His knowledge of the subject and storytelling style was brilliant, and the detail he crammed into the tour was awesome! The museum is great, really interesting and fascinating, perhaps not for the squeamish, but the highlight is Gerry’s tour!

The Parliament is currently closed to visitors. However, the outside can still be visited. I realise that the architecture divides opinion, but I’ve always liked it. The last thing they should have done is try to do a carbon copy of Westminster, and they’ve certainly avoided that - it’s completely different. I like the inventiveness of the design and the attempts to show transparency. My own view is that it will be regarded by everyone as a truly great building in 50 years’ time. The inside, which I visited not long after it opened, is even more impressive and the debating chamber itself is the highlight. It reminded me in some ways of a modernist cathedral, with light streaming in. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think this is a building that people should be proud of.

Visited Holyrood palace and Abbey in July. I was very impressed of there deaf awareness, I thoroughly enjoyed my day out as the audio guides had subtitles and BSL so that I could look to see what was being said. The staff were very helpful as well with the stairs and finding an easier route. I feel that every where should have disabled access audio guides to enable people with disabilities to enjoy attractions.

One of the biggest and best things in Scotland and Edinburgh in August is this gathering of international events, shows, plays, musical shows and acts, bands, orchestras.
Make sure that you buy from the proper venue, get good directions, arrive on time or early and enjoy.

Preferred this to Edinburgh Castle. You can see the history of the whole building both inside and outside. Liked the complementary audio guide. Shame the gardens and abbey weren’t available for viewing, but guess not really the weather for it in January. Would recommend visiting and whilst there doing the Arthur’s Seat walk nearby

Pedestrian and cycle lanes snaked around the park, with open grass areas for sports and relaxing. Tennis courts and a large play park closer to the Newington side. Exercise equipment scattered throughout the park. Tree-lined paths are beautiful in the spring and summer when the blossoms appear. Popular space for outside gatherings such as BBQs and sports events.

we were on a tour and there was only two of us, this I think gave us a greater insight to the distillery, everyone was very friendly and I hope our guide got back to Mexico for Xmas. The drinks were excellent I am not a gin drinker but was pleasantly surprised. Well worth a visit

Fantastic theatre and brilliant pantomime performance once again this year. We are friends of the Kings and always thoroughly enjoy visiting. That was no different this year!
