Terrific museum. The collection is relatively small but about a third of it is represented by great masters. I've seen their exhibition at Frick back in 2014 with the Botticelli, El Greco, Velazquez and Sargent, and I was aware of the presence of Rembrandt, Hals and the early Vermeer which was my particular point of interest (I canceled my visit to Edinburg back in 2018 because it was traveling with an exhibition in Tokyo or somewhere). But in addition, they have paintings by Leonardo, Titian, Vasari, del Sarto, Maes, Metsu, Dou, Lievens, ter Borch, a small collection of impressionists with two excellent Gauguins. And revisiting the famous Sargent's portrait of Lady Agnew of Lochnaw was great.
