- swish53Scotland, UK197 contributionsWent to the driving range at braid hills. The range is well set out, the bays are divided into two by walls which was great. The one negative was the quality of the golf balls, they were wilson balls, a bit hard and some were cut which meant they did not have a true flight. The coffee shop there was aslo nice with decent meals and friendly staffWritten February 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CMDScottsdale, AZ12 contributionsNote - in winter there are three 'courses' open but you must have your own clubs and balls! They close the rental shop in September. We happened by a small shop selling used clubs, bought one 8 iron and two balls and played 9 holes. As a newer golfer, it really provided a sense of the origins of the game and was super fun. If we had more time we would have played it more. The locals just pop on and off the course as time allows. And it's free.Written November 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James GEdinburgh, UK20 contributionsSuper venue for food and drinks and a wonderful golfing venue .
A very friendly venue where the food and drinks is of a high Calibre.
The service also matches and the lovely setting of the well maintained old club house and a spectacularly beautiful golf course with great views and a wonderful golfing challengeWritten May 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Katie B1 contributionAfter no luck finding a function room for a surprise 60th came across this little Gem of a place, staff were amazing, views stunning, nothing was a bother for staff, food was great and were able to cater for vegan and vegetarians in family, hall was great size for our party of 70 people, setting up tables and hall for the surprise was perfect as staff allowed us in early with plenty time to carry out set up, the two bar staff on shift on night of 24th September were friendly and worked extremely hard dealing with us all🤩 would highly recommend having any function in craigmillar park golf clubWritten September 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simon D50 contributionsMy nephew is a member at this course. I was visiting from overseas and managed to get a game with him on the weekend. Excellent course with good greens, was a little wet from overnight rain but still great. Really enjoyed the day.Written July 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John RUnited Kingdom2 contributionsJust played Silverknowles golf course (handicap index 1.5) and I have to say for a municipal it was very good. The greens (8 out of 10) were true and rolled well in fact you could actually stroke your putts. The fairways were also good and for November the ball picked up very little mud, the tees need some work and the course needs a lot more signage. Whilst it is an interesting layout with some nice holes it is wide open and could benefit from some additional trees to separate the holes and to toughen it up a little. Could I play it everyday, No would I play it again, definitely.Written November 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pat ROnalaska, WI110 contributionsWe were on a guy golf trip and added this course before we flew out the next day. It is located next to the Edinburgh Airport so the sight of jets coming in was amazing. The first tee shot is up the steep hill so many of the fairways are up and down or around this hill or small bluff. Walking it provided good exercise for sure. The cost was very reasonable. Worth your time.Written September 29, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jimmystockedinburgh7 contributionsThe course was in excellent condition late Sept. It was good to play a course with a good variety of holes with 6 par 3's with none them bland the 2 par 5's one plays into west other east, interesting when the wind blows. The last 6 holes are recent addition to the course different from the other holes. The club complex has also 9 hole par 3 and driven range.Written November 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
