This place is a quiet oasis in the busy zone that is Edinburgh. The garden is literally a "secret garden" like the stories of old, featuring incredible beauty and wildlife, especially birds. Big student population in this area. During the festival very busy. - Z5857CCsuehGlasgow, UK194 contributionsSomeone commented in the earlier reviews saying “don’t bother visiting its not been looked after etc”. Well this put me off for a while but i eventually decided to go and see for myself.
Well the gardens are very peaceful, they are not very big, but it is worth a visit. Parts of it are a little overgrown, but overall it is looked after and even though it was chucking it down with rain i very much enjoyed my visit. I would recommend it.
On my way in i nearly got knocked over by this huge stag which appeared from nowhere. The mosaic is 14m long, involved 100 people in its making and now sits in a lovely community garden.
