Absolutely amazing experience for a glimpse into a place and time that will never be seen again. The yacht has been meticulously maintained as if the royal family just stepped off. Elegant and sophisticated. Definitely worth the time and price. Don’t skip a chance to visit the adjacent tea room and cafe for a cuppa and sweet to top off the experience.

The museum was one of the best visits we had so far. The place is fantastic. From the interior design to all the unique exhibits - you can't get bored here in a 1-2 hour visit.

Lovely place located in the heart of Edinburgh… the people working in there are very polite, happy and pleasant. They even lent me a chair to rest while waiting for my parents. The gallery is bright, well decorated and signed…. Best part is free of charge so not excuses to not enter.

Visited here yesterday with my great-nephew who will turn six years of age next month and we has a great time. Each and every member of staff with whom we interacted was enthusiastic and helpful, going out of their way to look after us. Great fun was had; that’s how education should be.

Fascinating exhibits, as mentioned by previous reviewers not for the squeamish, however, well worth a visit if you’re in Edinburgh. We spent over 2hrs working our way through everything there was to see and had to rush towards the end as we had a train to catch, which was a shame as there is so much to see.

We often have lunch in the cafe. Food is always amazing, with the soup and sandwich comb great value for money. Hot meal options are varied, great quality with excellent portion sizes. A large selection of mouth watering cakes are available and usually added to our meal. Staff are always friendly and helpful, nothing is ever a problem. We would thoroughly recommend a visit.

If your visiting South Queensferry this is well worth a visit. It's free and there's loads to take in. Staff are friendly and knowledgable too. I'm always surprised by how few people visit, because it's a wee gem. It's like a step back in time.

What a fantastic place! Right on my doorstep but hadnt taken the time to visit until the last day of the season.
Very varied, a relaxed vibe and fantastic lunch in the cafe. All the staff were friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. Will be back in 2023! Thank you!

It has some pretty good stuff In here but the prices are over the top. The stuff it has is very Queensferry related.

This is a nice, little (free!) museum to visit if you're already passing. Very interesting to step back in time and see all the different toys from the past. The room full of dolls is creepy but fascinating! There aren't many toys from the 80's or 90's so unfortunately it isn't a trip down memory lane for me as it might be for some. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if I'm on the Royal Mile with some time to kill, I do pop in.

A little tricky to find, but worth a visit for anyone interested in the history of writing, particularly in Scotland

Came for the Harryhausen exhibition and was not dissapointed. A wonderful array of sets, models and exhibits from all of the movies, beautifully put together with interactive elements and displays.

A treat for all Harryhausen fans!
