Absolutely brilliant visit. Ben was great as a tour guide, very witty and knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend this place when you're visiting Edinburgh.
I have one suggestion, which I think would make foreign visitors life bit easier.
We have visited with one person which didn't speak english, I downloaded the app for her to use while on trip in Mary kings close. We got the code when we arrived unfortunately we couldn't download the file, WiFi didn't work and there is no phone reception. It would make a huge difference if we got the code while paying for the trip, so I could download the file and have it all set up.
However we were saved by wonderful polish lady who worked there. So big thank you to her- sorry forgot to ask her name!!

We really enjoyed our visit to the Palace of Holyrood, which includes the ruins of the abbey and also the gardens. The audio tour was very informative, whilst short enough at each stop to keep your interest piqued. There was the opportunity for interactivity with the audio tour guide screens and at locations along the tour route. We learned so much about the history of Edinburgh, and the Royal family. The way in which the house has been preserved to show what it would have been like historically, and also how it continues to be used in the present day was fascinating. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Edinburgh - we spent approximately 1.5 hours here.

We were so so lucky to book a beautiful apartment, on the river, for a short break.
    Truly beautiful and magical village!
Lovely walk from Dean Village to Leith spotting the 3 herons on our walk.

The museum gives you a sense of Edinburgh when the city expanded. The docents are knowledgeable and engaging, they bring the house to life!

Be sure to watch the video at the start of your visit and spend time speaking with the docents in the dining room and kitchen.

Great boat trip with Forth Tours. Enjoyable, informative commentary on board, great crew and drinks/snacks for sale.
Amazing views of the bridges and coastline.
The island is a magical place and the staff on the island are just wonderful.
Castle and island are well worth a visit.
We thought we might keep this a secret but we had the whole island to ourselves for the last hour!!
Captain took us to see the seals on the way back to Queensferry.
Great views of the razorbillls and gulls.

We came here the 4 of us dressed up for a fun Halloween event. Although it's mostly geared towards children, it's incredibly fun if you get into it. Everyone had smiles on their faces and looked like they had a brilliant time. Loads of kids activities. We're adults but got into the fun by dressing up and having a great time. Would recommend.

Recently went on a brand new tour of the Gladstone Museum. This tour was concentrated on crime and punishment.our tour guide Katie was very knowledgeable and along with her wit managed to keep the event light hearted which considering the subject was quite a task. Katie was able to answer any questions put to her and her enthusiasm shined through the whole event. We had a really enjoyable hour and wished it could have been a bit longer. Thanks Katie for a great day. John.

I was wandering around with no plan for the day, and found my self inside this vibrant, colorful market where small stalls are all over the place and you find your self in the drive to choose between them (which is a very had mission).
Jewelry making stands; bread, jam, and street food stalls, some clothes even; you will defiantly find something to get.

We specifically searched out Bobby, the dedication to Bobby was nicely presented. It was a wet and windy day so did not stay (thanks storm Babet), would have liked to explore the church yard more.

We went to the Christmas Fair and it was such a great experience with our 6 months old baby! We arrived on Friday around 11am and it was super buzzy. All the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. There was so many stalls, the decoration was fabulous. We found a little ABC for our nursery. We highly recommend to take a visit if you can next year to start the festive period.

Went in November with my partner on the 1pm Tour while we were in Edinburgh for a day trip. The Vaults are somewhere I've always wanted to visit & they didn't disappoint. FRASER, our guide, was great & made the tour enjoyable with the knowledgeable stories, was very polite & made it fun. We think we caught a ghost in one of our photos & in the stone circle room, I began to feel sick & could feel my jacket being tugged. We'll definitely be back one night for the haunted tour.

We booked tickets (free), to go to 1st Minister's Questions, and it was well worth doing so, even though the First Minister was away at Cop 28! Arriving in good time we went through 'heavy' security and had a chance to look at the small exhibition before gaining access to the chamber itself. The architecture and layout is flamboyant in style, and a high quality finish throughout. The level of debate that we saw did not, however, match the quality of the surroundings, and the following day's report in The Times was excoriating in its criticisms! It was good to see the number of visitors in the public gallery, and we noted the casual use of mobile phones by members in the chamber, not setting a great example to the school children present, even whilst one question addressed the issue of banning of phones on school premises!!

Visited to participate in parkrun. The run goes along the promenade and it's lovely. Flat, wide course.

Great views over the Firth of Forth. A very peaceful and tranquil area.

Not the easiest to find as not great signposting off the main road but ok once on the wee side road. We followed satnav though, so were fine.
    Good sized car park.
The guy at the ticket office was lovely and told us where everything was and what it related to. First class service.
Let’s face it, there’s not much there to actually do but you have to go if you’re an Outlander fan! It’s worth it.
Lovely wee key keyring with an honesty box (£1).
