Nicholas was our guide as she was fabulous. It was like a private tour. Her knowledge and passion for the city she loves was amazing. We had some lovely food and ended it with a whisky tasting session. - Peter SHuddersfield, UK116 contributionsMet the tour guide Wag right on time, and turned out to be the only ones on the tour. After introductions, and a slight detour for a photo opp suggested by Wag, we were off on the tour and it was apparent straight away that Wag had lots of knowledge and stories to share. The first place to visit was unexpectedly closed for some unplanned maintenance but Wag quickly got something set up.in it's place. Over the course of the next 3 hours or so we enjoyed beer (x 3!) cider, whisky liquer, scotch egg, macaroni cheese croquettes, haggis neeps & tatties, fish and and a very nice dessert to conclude. We also saw much of the old town and learned a lot from Wag who was an excellent guide and host. Tour lead James was great in providing Edinburgh knowledge with expertise from his career in the food and drink industry.

It was such a fun way to check out a new area of Edinburgh and the amazing Asian cuisine the city has to offer. Will was so informative and knew the local scene well. It was really nice to see that he had a relationship with the workers at each spot we went to. Will is friendly, charming, and a good conversationalist. - lisa mKey Largo, FL31 contributionsMy husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Skye. He really took the time to find quality offerings. Nothing was mass produced or less that amazing. He had tons of knowledge about everything we sampled and about the city itself. He even gave us recommendations for our next days in London. They were spot on as well. Skye even went past our allotted tour time and took us to a little shop to find a gin we had sampled. - Helen T1 contributionI booked a party of 4 for the Edinburgh tour on Saturday 19th October. It was for my husband’s birthday. We were met my Woollie and wow here was where the amazing day started! Not only did he give us a food and whisky tour but he gave us the most amazing ghost tour too! It helped that my husband and I are so into that. The eateries we went to were above any expectations I had and then to find we were having a two course meal (plus 2 bottles of wine!) in the Witchery was just the highlight. We’d heard so much about this restaurant and never expected it to be included in the tour. It didn’t disappoint! We were then taken to a polish restaurant for dessert. Again top notch. Thank you so much for a fabulous birthday and the added spookiness from Woollie just topped it. Thank you so much. To begin, Wag — our guide, was wonderfully nice, extremely knowledgeable, and able to answer the questions we had about the food and Edinburgh. The pace between walking and eating/drinking at the next establishment made for an easy stroll and provided time to learn about the city in between the food and drink. The tour was the favorite thing we did on our trip and it was worth every cent. Sara reached out to us to provide information shortly after booking the tour and we felt we were in good hands from the start. Nichola showed us the sites, made recommendations, and taught us a little bit about the food. Going early in the week allowed us to go back to many of the places she recommended and try more things we liked.
